Your photo library is a mess. You know it, we know it. Thousands of photos and videos piling up — blurry shots, accidental screenshots, seventeen nearly identical group photos from the same moment. BananaBomb makes cleaning them up fast, fun, and surprisingly satisfying.
Swipe to decide. Every photo and video gets its moment. Swipe right to peel it (keep), swipe left to bomb it (delete), or swipe down to skip — skipped photos slide back into the deck and return later, so you never have to commit before you're ready. No menus, no multi-select, no endless scrolling through grids.
AI that actually helps. BananaBomb analyses your library with on-device machine learning — completely private, nothing leaves your phone. It learns what you tend to keep and what you tend to bomb, then pushes the most likely deletions to the top of the stack, so the easy wins come first. Large files eating your storage get surfaced early too. Cards start flowing within seconds of opening the app, with the deeper analysis working away in the background.
Duplicates found automatically. BananaBomb detects duplicate and near-duplicate photos and bunches them together so you can compare similar shots at a glance. Turn on Smart Highlights and the AI flags the best and worst of each bunch by sharpness, exposure, and face quality whenever there's a clear difference. Split them apart with the comparison slider, keep the best, bomb the rest.
Videos too. Videos feed right into the swipe queue alongside your photos. They auto-play as you review, with a mute button on the card and a scrub bar when you open one up for a closer look. Same swipe, same satisfaction.
Meet Barry. Your banana buddy lives in the corner of your screen with a mind of his own. He reacts to your decisions, strikes poses when something catches his eye, flexes when you hit a streak, yawns when you take too long, and occasionally just vibes. On Apple Intelligence devices, Barry drops AI-generated banana puns and cheeky one-liners — when he feels like it. Give him a tap to see what he thinks.
Sounds like fun. Every peel, bomb, skip, and undo has its own playful sound effect — from cartoon boings to cheeky double-boops. Keep them on, or peel them off in settings along with the haptics.
Smart filters. Narrow your session to what's actually clogging up your library. Toggle off Screenshots, Selfies, Food, Documents, People, Animals, Landscapes, Videos, or Other to keep them out of your queue, then layer on the Blurry or Bunches modifiers to hunt down soft shots and duplicate piles.
Everything stays on your device. Analysis runs locally with Apple's Vision framework, and Barry's quips use on-device Apple Intelligence. Your photos are never uploaded or processed anywhere outside your phone.

What's New in 1.3
• Much faster start-up. BananaBomb now serves your first cards in a couple of seconds no matter how big your library is — duplicate detection and taste-model learning finish quietly in the background.
• Skip actually means "later." Skipped photos come back later in the session instead of disappearing for good, and the "All Clear" screen no longer dead-ends when only skipped photos are left.
• No more accidental resets. Restarting a review now takes a 5-second hold on the bomb button, complete with a burning fuse and haptics.
• Smarter "All Clear" screen. New photos added while you're in the app now show live scan progress, and a stale All Clear screen dismisses itself once fresh cards are ready.
• Restore Purchase fixed. Existing Pro users on a new install or new device are recognised properly.
• Sound keeps working. Audio returns after phone calls and headphone changes instead of going silent for the rest of the session.
• Smoother swiping and fewer crashes. Saves and card animations no longer hitch mid-swipe, tapping a still-loading photo can't crash, and shared files are cleaned up properly.
