A video is recorded as a round clip with a recording rim and a timer; the Round switch brings back a regular video or makes a photo round. • A clearer lighting coach: every light on your photo is named, light is drawn as beams, and you see what Lux read — where the light comes from, how deep the shadow is and how much light there is. • The on-device AI now tells daylight from electric light and notices a window in the frame and glasses. • The remote controls lights live: change colour and brightness and the lights follow at once. • Fixed: sliders on the main screen did not move on iOS 18; the full-screen mirror, a recorded clip getting lost, the touch lock, the sleep timer.

Lux 3.0.1 brings round videos and a lighting coach that speaks plain language. • Round mode in the selfie mirror: round photos and round videos up to a minute, with screen light around the circle, like video messages. Photos save as PNG with a transparent background, videos as a square 720×720 clip. Round or normal frame, your choice. • The lighting coach explains the setup step by step, without jargon: where to put each phone, how high, how far and how bright. "Turn this screen into light N" makes your phone that light in one tap. • The lighting coach now takes your existing light into account — a window, daylight or a lamp. If the light is already good, it says so without suggesting extra phones. • Lux reads the light from the shading in your photo and shows it on the photo and in a top view with angles, distances and height. • The AI model is now built into the app: no separate download, everything works offline, and photos never leave your device. AI refinement runs on iPhone and iPad with at least 8 GB of RAM. • Why this update is so big: Lux is now about 1.8 GB, and almost all of that is the built-in AI model (about 1.75 GB); Lux itself is only about 25 MB. Updating over Wi-Fi is easiest. • Crash and freeze fixes, a clearer interface, and a short "What's New" screen on first launch.
