InkLedger is the booking and bookkeeping app built for working tattoo artists. Clients click your link, book a slot on your public page, pay a deposit straight to your own Stripe account, approve the design by SMS or email, and you walk into every appointment knowing it's confirmed, paid, and on the books.
Free for artists. No subscription. Stripe is optional — connect it to take deposits, or skip it.
WHAT IT DOES
- Public booking page at app.inkledger.app/book/yourname. Share the link in your Instagram bio. Clients pick a time, fill details, pay a deposit, done.
- Deposits to your own Stripe account via Stripe Connect Express. Optional — run the whole app without Stripe if you want.
- Design approval by magic link. Upload the design, client taps approve or asks for changes from their phone. SMS and email, no app install on their end.
- Bookkeeping built in. Every deposit, remaining balance, refund, and tip auto-logs. Monthly and quarterly revenue. VAT breakdown. CSV export your accountant will actually accept.
- EU tax-native. Built-in handling for NL, DE, ES, FR, BE, and GB, including the Dutch KOR small-business VAT exemption.
- Multi-currency. Pick any Stripe-supported currency. Historical bookings keep their original currency if you ever switch.
- Bilingual: Dutch and English. Auto-detected, manually switchable. Client emails and SMS go out in the language you set.
- Reschedule and cancellation requests need your approval before anything changes. No surprise holes in the calendar.
- Push and email for every status change, for you and your client.
THE STATUS PIPELINE
New request, confirmed, (optional design sent, design approved), completed. Cancellations and reschedules carry a full audit trail so you can always see what happened and when.
WHO IT'S FOR
Self-employed tattoo artists and small studios up to about three artists. If you're juggling Instagram DMs, a paper agenda, a Tikkie or PayPal link, and a separate spreadsheet for your accountant — this replaces all of it.
WHY NOT THE OTHERS
Generic schedulers like Square, Acuity, or Calendly weren't built for tattooing. No design approval. No VAT export. No deposit flow tuned for how this trade actually works.
Tattoo-specific tools tend to be slow, dated, expensive, and US-centric.
Marketplace apps deduct their cut from your earnings and lock you to their platform. InkLedger doesn't — every euro of the deposit you set lands in your own Stripe account.
WHAT IT COSTS
Free for artists. No subscription. No per-booking fee. Nothing deducted from your deposit.
Stripe is optional. Connect it to take deposits online, or skip it and use bookings, design approval, bookkeeping, VAT export, and multi-currency without paying anything.
INSTALL, SET UP IN AN AFTERNOON
Connect Stripe (or skip it), set your hours and deposit amount, paste your booking link in your bio, get back to tattooing. The app handles the boring shit so you don't have to.
Ratings & Reviews

Big release. Most of it is stuff you asked for.
NEW
- Multi-currency. The app is no longer hardcoded to euro. Pick any Stripe-supported currency in Profile → Preferences. Every booking and transaction snapshots its currency, so old records stay correct even if you switch. Locked to your Stripe account's default once you're connected, so the two never drift.
- Custom aftercare instructions. Write your own aftercare in Profile → Communications, one bullet per line. It goes out automatically in the completion email instead of our generic default.
- Manual language switch. System, English, or Dutch — your call. Client emails and SMS follow the language you pick.
RELIABILITY
- Booking, design send, reschedule, cancel, and status changes now fire emails, SMS, and push in the background. A slow SMS provider can't freeze your screen anymore.
- Faster booking submission. Double-submit is blocked. The loading copy actually tells you what's happening.
FIXES
- Killed the phantom EUR 50 deposit that showed up on some bookings.
- Hunted down the last hardcoded euro signs on screens that hadn't caught up to multi-currency.
PRIVACY
- Client emails and phone numbers are now redacted in backend logs. They were never exposed publicly, but they shouldn't have been in our logs either.
POLISH
- Cleaner dashboard cards. Less noise, more breathing room, sharper type.
