This release is about the parts of the app you only notice when they are missing. VoiceOver Buttons that used to announce nothing now say what they do. Checkboxes report whether a task is done. The filter button reads out how many filters are active. Selected plans, colours and options announce that they are selected, instead of showing it in colour alone. Reduce Motion With Reduce Motion turned on, the scrolling tickers and the walkthrough's pulsing highlight now hold still. Larger text Small labels — badges, counts, tags, timestamps — grow with your text size setting instead of staying fixed. Easier to tap Several small controls look the same but are now easier to hit. Clearer screens Empty lists explain what belongs there, and on first use offer to start a recording. If a note fails to process, the app now tells you the recording and transcript are safe, and how to try again. Fixes The unlock button shows Touch ID on Touch ID devices instead of always showing Face ID. Colour is used consistently again: amber means working, red means something failed.

Speaker labels for meetings (beta) Voice Note Pro now tells apart who spoke in meeting notes longer than two minutes, entirely on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded and no download is needed. • Speaker 1, Speaker 2 and so on appear in the transcript, each with its own colour. • Tap a label to rename it. The name applies to every turn by that speaker. • Copy, share and export include the speaker names. • Older meeting notes: open the note, then AI Actions → Regenerate Transcription to add labels. • Turn it off any time in Settings → Recording. It is a beta: phone microphones and people talking over each other will mislabel some turns. Renaming is one tap; tell us how it does on your real meetings. Your notes can now leave the app. • Export a single note as Markdown, as plain text, as the original recording, or as Markdown and audio together. • Export your whole library as a zip: one Markdown file per note, with the matching recordings alongside. Your recordings are the one thing the app cannot recreate, so they should never be locked inside it. Also fixed a few issues on Mac.

Your recording no longer stops when your phone does. • Lock your screen or switch to another app, and recording keeps going. Previously it ended wherever you pressed the side button. • An incoming call now pauses your recording and resumes it afterwards, instead of cutting the note short. • Unplugging headphones or losing your AirPods mid-recording no longer breaks the rest of the recording. • If your storage runs low, recording stops cleanly and keeps everything captured so far. • Bluetooth headsets now record through their own microphone. Whatever interrupts a recording, the audio you captured is saved. The free AI allowance is now three notes a month, the same as on Android. Recording and on-device transcription stay unlimited and always free.

Internal improvements to how subscriptions, free trials and checkout are reported. Nothing in the app looks or works differently.

A new app icon. The old mark — a shield with rainbow ribbons on near-black — lost its detail at the size an icon is actually seen: small, on a crowded home screen, easy to miss against a dark background. The new one is a single shield and waveform, white on violet, and it is now the same mark on iPhone, Apple Watch, Mac and the web. The Apple Watch app also picks up the app's blue accent. Its accent had never been set, so until now every tinted control on the watch used the system default rather than the app's own colour.

Introducing Project Lanes, a new way to organize your voice notes by topic, project, or workflow. Instead of only seeing notes in one chronological list, Voice Note Pro can now group notes into visual lanes like Inbox, Meetings, Ideas, Follow-ups, or your own custom projects. Record directly into a lane, move notes between lanes, customize lane colors and icons, and switch back to the classic recent-notes view anytime

Improved transcription reliability with a new option to regenerate a transcript when the original result looks wrong. Added audio and video import for transcription, plus a cleaner Create menu for text notes, image notes, and imported media. This update also adds app text size controls, more home screen customization, and several fixes for AI note actions, backups, and overall build stability.

New Daily Review and Action Center workflows help you turn notes into planned actions. You can now schedule tasks for today, tomorrow, next week, or a custom date and time, create calendar suggestions from notes, move follow-ups to the Task Board, and use improved note titles, summaries, reminders, and todo handling.
