Meet dogs near you. Discover is here. Pack has a new Discover segment: one dog at a time from the dogs nearby whose owners have opted in, ranked by how well they'd suit yours and labelled with why, like "Both wrestlers" or "Similar size". Say "Let's play" or "Not a match". Nobody is told anything either way. When you both say yes, you both get a notification, a pack connection and a chat thread. Playdate discovery is per dog. You're asked once when you add a dog, and can change it any time in Settings → Playdate discovery, along with how far to look. Your area is stored rounded to about a mile and is never shown to anyone. Other owners only see a rough distance. Every dog can now claim a @handle. Share your dog as share.off-leash.dog/@cooper instead of a long link, and add someone's dog to your pack by handle from the search icon in Pack. Settings → Finding you controls who can reach you. Dog-friendly hikes join Places. A new Hikes chip lists nearby trails with length, difficulty and the leash rule, and opens to directions to the trailhead. Vancouver and Denver to start. You can now report how busy a park is without checking in, and every busyness reading shows how many people reported it. The map now names the city you're looking at, like "Parks in Seattle, WA", with one tap back to your own area.

Fixes for photos and pack requests. Adding or changing a dog photo on iPhone works again. Choosing a photo from your library now opens the square editor right inside the picker, so your photo is saved instead of getting stuck. Dog profiles now refresh their pack status when you open them or return to the app, so a request that was just accepted no longer shows as pending.

Off Leash just got a lot bigger. Search anywhere, request missing cities, explore thousands of new places worldwide, and enjoy smoother photos and smarter distance settings. Search now works across the whole map, not just nearby parks. Find cities, parks and places, even with misspellings. Unmapped cities can be requested in one tap. Requesting a city is simpler, with optional email updates. If you're signed in, it's just one tap. Off Leash now covers much more of Canada and the US, plus Australia, the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Estonia, Poland, Taiwan, India, Kuwait, Nigeria, China and Mexico — adding thousands of dog parks and pet services. Photos now use a built-in cropper with drag, zoom and a clear Use Photo button. Off Leash now follows your device's units on first launch. Your Settings choice still overrides it.

Off Leash is now about more than parks. PLACES A new Parks · Places toggle puts dog-friendly spots on the map — vets, pet shops, groomers, and boarding & daycare — plus dog-friendly dining and stays (restaurants, cafés, breweries, hotels), starting in Metro Vancouver. Each place shows why it's dog-friendly, and you can tap "Confirm dog-friendly" to vouch for the ones you love. One-tap Directions open the real listing in Maps. ADOPT A DOG NEARBY Browse shelters, rescues, and adoption events near you. LOST & FOUND DOGS Report a missing dog — or a stray you've found — from Profile → Lost & Found. Nearby owners get notified and you can coordinate privately in the app. DOG MEETUPS Discover and create meetups at a park or a custom spot. RSVP, see which dogs are going, add a meetup to your calendar in one tap, and share it with a rich link. A SMARTER MAP Parks and places now load automatically as you pan and zoom, and markers group into tidy clusters when you zoom out. MORE Choose miles or kilometers, see every owner on a co-owned dog, invite co-owners and sitters with a share link, and manage your sign-in methods in Settings. Plus richer haptics throughout and lots of fixes — iOS password reset, auto check-in prompts, and chat swipe actions among them. We've also added hundreds of new parks across Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia.
