I want to love the app cuz it’s really good but when i try and play the music it’s insanely laggy and i’ve reset my phone and tried everything so ik it’s the app and not my phone. other than that it’s amazing.

We minimized the bugs that were causing extra lag on people's devices, and after a lot of trial and error we actually got the app to look cleaner, smoother, and faster while cutting the computing power it uses on your device down to a quarter of what it was. It's one of the biggest achievements in the app so far, and a review like yours is exactly what drew our attention to the issues some devices were having. They've now been solved and genuinely improved. So glad you love the app otherwise, and thanks for sticking with it!

Hey, first off I wanna say this app is really great. I haven’t came across a transcribing software that’s as accurate as this. I’ve only noticed an issue when exporting MIDI files into notation softwares like Musescore, the rhythm and notation doesn’t match what I hear in the app. It seems like the exported MIDI is being simplified or quantified different than the internal playback. I just wanted to suggest two possible improvements:An option to export higher accuracy MIDI or a built in sheet music export feature which would honestly be amazing because it would preserve the notation accuracy and it would make it a lot easier when learning a piece and stuff. Thanks for the work on the app it’s really impressive overall

Thank you so much for paying this much attention to the app. It's genuinely such a blessing to read a review from someone who's this dialed into the music technology and the technicality running these engines. On the MIDI quantization you mentioned: right now the export is locked to a fixed 120 BPM, and we're actively working on quantizing it to a fixed tempo so it lines up properly. And yes, sheet music export and notation visualization are on the way. The biggest barrier between a waterfall tutorial and real sheet music is that sheet music doesn't just tell you the notes, it tells you the rhythm too, and the waterfall displays rhythm as distance in ticks, the way MIDI reads it, which is very different from how we interpret rhythm when reading notation. So it's a genuinely hard problem, and we're working tirelessly on it. When we ship it, we want it to be highly accurate and better than anything our competitors are doing. The only good thing about this app is that the ai beats out all the other ai transcription services I’ve tried. That’s where the good ends, I can’t even add notes that the ai missed or bring back notes I removed on accident. If I want to edit the piano roll at all (which is done in the practice mode), I then have no way of getting to from the practice mode to the edit mode where I can actually change colors and effects to make it look good. Then they have the audacity to ask for subscribers and include an ai helper that just lies about features. Overall this app needs a lot of work to actually work properly because right now I’m stuck being unable to fix the ai’s mistakes and on top of that I can’t even edit the video if I try to fix the piano roll. FIX YOUR APP, these mechanics are so simple to add when you already have most of what’s needed here.

Practice Mode is exclusively for practicing along with a piece — it is not a video editing surface and was never meant to be. The Video Editor is where you change colors, effects, restore removed notes, and export tutorial videos. They don't flow into each other mid-session because they serve different purposes. This is covered in both the walkthrough and the App Store description.On your specific points:• Restoring accidentally removed notes already works — in the Video Editor.• Adding notes the AI missed is a genuinely complex feature, and it's in active development. When it ships, it'll be available in both modes — not exclusive to either.• The AI helper does not lie about features. It's grounded in the app's actual codebase and only knows what Falling Note can and cannot do. It has no outside training or capability to invent features. If you got an answer that didn't match the app, send the exact question through support and I'll look at it.Nothing you've described is broken.
