Turn vehicle data into something you can use. OBD CAN is an OBD2 car scanner and data logger for reading trouble codes, watching live sensor data and saving results for later analysis. Connect an iOS-compatible OBD2 / ELM327 Bluetooth adapter to get started.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT & TROUBLE CODES
• Read and clear standard OBD2 engine and emissions trouble codes for free.
• On supported vehicles, use extended UDS diagnostics to check modules such as ABS, airbags and transmission.
• Copy a diagnostic report and suggested questions into your choice of third-party AI tool for help interpreting the results.
LIVE DATA & CUSTOM DASHBOARDS
Monitor supported sensors such as speed, engine RPM and coolant temperature. Customize your dashboard and choose the sensors you want in your live data view, in portrait or landscape. Set up your dashboard and live data selections before connecting to the car.
SENSOR DATA LOGGING
• Choose your sensors, adjust their read intervals and set a recording duration. Your last settings are saved for next time.
• Watch live charts while recording. Stop manually or let the session end at the set time.
• Review charts and statistics, revisit saved reports, save a full report image or export CSV data for analysis in a spreadsheet.
• Sensors are read in sequence. Selecting more sensors generally increases the time between updates for each one.
FUEL CONSUMPTION TRACKING
See instant and average fuel consumption, fuel used and distance traveled. Record fuel figures alongside the sensor readings used to calculate them, then export everything in one CSV file. Revisit previous reports or save them as images.
Fuel figures come from vehicle-reported fuel flow or a supported estimation method. Availability and results depend on your vehicle's data and the relevant settings.

• Battery checks: observe voltage and how it changes during engine starting.
• Oxygen sensor graphs: follow readings from supported O2 sensors.
• Noise monitoring: track changes in noise level using your phone's microphone alongside vehicle data.
• View VIN and ECU information, emissions readiness and supported Mode 05/06 monitor results.
SAVED REPORTS & LANGUAGES
Several tests let you save reports on your device. Once signed in, you can view saved reports without a Bluetooth connection to the car. The app supports multiple languages, including localized column headings in exported collection data.
BEFORE YOU CONNECT
• A compatible OBD2 Bluetooth adapter is required for live readings and tests and must be obtained separately.
• Available sensors, modules and tests vary by vehicle, protocol and adapter. Not every vehicle supports every feature.
• Sign-in is required to start readings or tests. Extended UDS diagnostics, sensor logging, fuel tracking, custom live data selections and some dashboard and monitoring features require a paid membership. See the app for plan details.
• Clearing a code does not repair its cause. Readiness and monitor results help you understand vehicle status; they do not guarantee an emissions inspection pass.

Available plans, prices and benefits are shown in the app. If you choose an auto-renewing subscription, payment is charged to your Apple Account at purchase confirmation. It renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends, with renewal charged within the final 24 hours. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings. Restore purchases in the app.
