RunWeather - for Runners
Best time to run. What to wear
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Run now, or wait an hour? Today's best running window, what to wear — five factors plus your profile, answered in one screen. Free, no account, widget included.
You're about to head out for a run. Should you go now, or wait an hour? What should you wear?
RunWeather is built to answer those questions in seconds. It weighs temperature, precipitation, humidity, wind, and air quality (in Korea) to find the best time to head out today and tells you what to wear — paired with a character whose pose reflects the recommendation.
— Made for you if
• You squeeze runs into commute gaps or post-work windows
• Conditions change a lot through the day where you live
• You've regretted a clothing choice mid-run before
• You run in Korea and track air quality before heading outside
— Core features
• Conditions analysis
Temperature, precipitation, humidity, and wind — four factors combined to judge whether now is a good time to run. Inside Korea, AirKorea air-quality data adds a fifth factor. Outside Korea, the analysis runs on the four available factors.
• Best time to run
Combines hourly conditions with your preferred time slot (morning, midday, evening, flexible) to surface today's best running window.
• Clothing + character
Top, bottom, accessories, and windbreaker based on apparent temperature, conditions, and wind. The character pose mirrors the recommendation at a glance.
• Safety-first coaching tips
Short tips when air quality drops, wind picks up, or precipitation looks likely. Tips are deterministic — same conditions, same message, no model calls at runtime.
• Customizable dashboard
iOS home-screen-style edit mode: long-press to jiggle, drag to reorder, tap × to remove, add cards back from a sheet. Cards cover UV, air quality, apparent temperature, hourly, weekly, precipitation, and wind.
• Up to 5 favorite locations
Save spots you run regularly and swipe between them.
• Widget family
Home-screen small widget plus circular, rectangular, and inline lock-screen widgets. Refreshes about every three hours.
• Weather effects
SpriteKit particles for rain, snow, dust, fog, lightning, and sunbeams, layered over a sunrise/sunset-aware sky gradient.
— Data sources
Inside Korea: KMA short and mid-term forecast plus AirKorea air-quality data. Elsewhere: Apple WeatherKit (no air-quality factor). Sources are shown at the bottom of every screen — Apple Weather attribution included where used.
— Free
No account. A small banner ad at the bottom keeps the app free. We pass non-personalized mode (npa=1) so ads stay generic without ATT consent.
Lace up. Check the character. Pick your clothes. Go.
