- Not driving? You still get a heads-up. If someone else is taking the kid and you're meeting them there, your widget and Lock Screen now tell you when to leave.
- Your games are where you think they are. Some venues were being mapped to the other side of the planet. Turns out the field is in town. We checked.
- Widgets know who's driving. No more "Needs driver" when somebody's already driving.
- "~" means "about." When we're guessing at a time, we'll tell you we're guessing.
- Lock Screen keeps up. When a pickup changes, your Lock Screen updates on its own.
- Drive times are back on trip coverage. They were there the whole time. They were just being shy.
- Plus some fixes behind the scenes.

You know that paper schedule the coach hands out? The one that goes on the fridge and then just lives there, slowly getting covered by other stuff? Now you can take a picture of it, and Sportifyr adds every game on the page. Not one game. All of them. Before, it added one game, and I'll be honest, that's not really a schedule. That's a rumor.
You get to look over the list before anything is added. Uncheck what you don't want. If you already have a game, we skip it, because nobody needs to show up to the same game twice. I've done that. They don't give you a second trophy.
Also, if you're not the one driving, you can now say "I'll meet you there." That's always been my favorite way to help. And if an event doesn't have a place listed, we no longer guess when you should leave. We were guessing, and that's not great. You can't leave for nowhere. I've tried. You just end up back in your own driveway.
The widget also tells you who's driving now, instead of saying "Attending." Everybody's attending. That was never the question.
1.5.15 3d ago
This update is mostly us fixing things we did.
If you change a schedule while your phone has no signal, Sportifyr now finishes the job once you're back online. Before, it kind of gave up, which we understand, but it's not a good trait in an app.
Renaming a schedule no longer takes you back to the Today screen. You'll stay where you were. The app was just excited.
If an event has no location, we won't tell you when to leave anymore. We don't know where you're going. We never did. We just had a lot of confidence.
And when a leave time is a guess, we now say it's a guess. That's growth.
1.5.14 4d ago
This update makes things faster. Not "us" faster. The app.
- Saving who's driving an event is quicker now. You tap Done and it closes. Before, it would wait a second, like it was making sure you meant it. You meant it. You've meant it for three seasons.
- Saving a calendar feed is quicker too. You'll see "Syncing" while your schedule catches up. If something goes wrong, you'll get one message and your events stay put. We figured you already have enough going on at 6 a.m. on a Saturday.
- If your household is on the Free plan, adults who have Pro on their own account will now see "Ask your Owner to upgrade" instead of adding extra athletes. Every house has somebody who's in charge. In mine, it isn't me. The app knows that now.
Thanks for using Sportifyr. We'll keep working on it. You keep driving.
1.5.13 6d ago
I'll be honest. I asked what's new in this version, and they said "sync" a lot. I nodded the way I nod at the mechanic.
Here's what I got out of it.
When you save something now, the screen just closes. It used to stop and think about it. Now it trusts you. My kids don't trust me, so it's nice that somebody does.
If your team uses TeamSnap, games now end when they really end. Before, every game lasted one hour. I liked that version. I have never been to a one-hour anything with children.
The calendar is faster for big families. If you downloaded this app, that's you.
When you've seen a "Time changed" tag, it goes away and stays away. Like telling the dog to get off the couch, except it listens.
If two of you change the same event, both changes stay now. In our house, that's called a miracle.
And when nothing is happening, the app does less work in the background. That's my plan for the weekend too.
1.5.12 Oct 23
This update is mostly behind-the-scenes fixes. My dad says that's how you can tell somebody did a good job: nobody notices.
- Your family's schedule stays in sync. If someone deletes an event, it's gone for everybody. No more driving to a practice that got canceled.
- Drivers see their own times. If you're doing pickup, you get pickup times. You don't get the times for somebody else's drive.
- Quiet hours work on daylight-saving days. Nobody understands daylight saving, but now the app does.
- Faster, lighter syncing. The app kept re-sending things that hadn't changed, like me opening the fridge every ten minutes hoping something new showed up. Nothing new shows up. Now it only sends what changed.
That's it. Thanks for using Sportifyr.
1.5.11 Oct 21
We fixed some things. I don't want to say they were broken. My wife says they were broken.
Quiet hours were too quiet. You'd set quiet hours, and the app would get so quiet it forgot to tell you to leave. That's not quiet hours. That's just us not doing our job. Now your get-ready, leave-now and pickup reminders show up on time, even during quiet hours. The "game's starting" ones still keep it down, because you're already there. You know it started. You're watching it.
Two parents, one event. If you're doing drop-off and your spouse is doing pickup, your card used to show you their drive. So you'd look at it and go, "Well, that's not where I'm going." And it wasn't. Now your card shows your drive. Theirs shows theirs. That's called a marriage.
Back-to-back drop-offs. When you've got two drop-offs in a row, the app used to work out your second leave time like you'd driven home in between. You did not drive home. Nobody goes home. You've been in the car since 3. Now the reminder counts from where you actually are, and it matches what's on the card.
Taking the drop-off. If you tapped to take the drop-off, the other parent could get bumped off pickup, especially if they hadn't updated the app. Which they hadn't. They never have. Now they stay on pickup, where they belong.
That's it. Thank you for driving everybody everywhere. Somebody has to.
1.5.10 Oct 20
This update is about reminders. We wanted them to keep up with your family. Which is more than I can do.
- Reminders now follow your plans when they change, even when someone else changes them.
- Your leave-by time and your Lock Screen agree now. Before, you had two clocks and you just stood in the driveway.
- Staying to watch? The widget lets you enjoy the whole game instead of telling you to wrap it up, champ.
- Picking a driver for one way no longer forgets who's driving the other way.
My wife asked why this took four bullet points to say "the reminders work now." I said, "Because they didn't before." She said that wasn't as comforting as I thought.
1.5.9 Oct 19
This update fixes some things. I'm not going to tell you what they were. You didn't notice, and I'd like to keep it that way.
Reminders, calendars and CarPlay all work better now. I don't know how. Somebody told me.
If you've got a busy family, this one's for you. If you don't, I'm not sure why you downloaded this, but we're glad you're here.
Anyway, go update. Your kid already needs a ride somewhere.
1.5.8 Oct 17
Turns out, if you're already sitting in the bleachers, you don't need your phone telling you it's time to leave. We were telling people to drive somewhere they already were. Nobody said anything. They just sat there, nodding at their phones. We fixed it.
- If you're staying to watch, your widget now says "Enjoy the Game" (or Practice) instead of showing a "Leave" time that doesn't apply. About 15 minutes before the end, it moves on to your next drive.
- If you're staying to watch, you no longer get a "Leave in" pickup countdown on your Lock Screen.
- The pickup countdown no longer appears before the event has started.
- The Lock Screen countdown clears itself once you're at the venue.
- At the venue, Today no longer says "En route" or shows the travel bar, and the card's clock keeps up.
- CarPlay no longer goes blank with "Loading schedule" right after it opens.
- After you switch accounts, CarPlay no longer shows the previous account's schedule.
1.5.7 Oct 16
What's the deal with widgets that say "UP NEXT" and then... nothing? Up next is what? Now the large widget just tells you: nothing scheduled soon. Go. Live your life.
Also in this update:
- An event that showed up twice now shows up once. It's an event, not a sequel.
- CarPlay only gives you pickups for events it actually shows. No more picking up from a game that isn't there.
- Today, event details and CarPlay finally agree on what "the same day" means. Who knew that was up for debate?
- The app stopped re-checking your Free plan every few seconds. We were checking. We checked. It's fine.
- The athlete menu reads cleanly with VoiceOver on iOS 18.
1.5.6 Oct 15
What's New in 1.5.5
- Today is faster. Taking over a drive no longer makes the app stop and think for a few seconds. Kind of like me when somebody asks what I do for a living.
- Everybody's on the same clock. "Ready by" times now match across Today, Schedule and the event screen, including for kids riding in a carpool.
- You are not "You." Family members used to see "driver: You" on the owner's drives. So everybody thought they were driving. Now it shows a real name.
- Edits stay put. Clearing a note, location or driver now sticks for the whole household.
- Sync fixes. Some household updates were failing without telling anybody. That's how I handle most things, but the app shouldn't.
- Small fixes for buttons, VoiceOver and Pro.
Thanks for using Sportifyr. We're doing our best.
1.5.5 Oct 14
Take the wheel. Your partner's drives now show on Today. Tap Take and it's yours. Tap Undo if you panic.
No double-booking. If taking a drive puts you in two places at once, we'll stop you first.
Via-home drop-offs. Going home between games? Drop-off times now include the trip, and the drive says "via home."
Live Activities keep up. When a game moves, your Lock Screen countdown moves with it.
Driver changes stick. Clearing a driver now updates every phone in the household.
Account fix. Your role now shows correctly even if you're not in a household yet
1.5.4 Oct 12
Small update, big polish:
• The Lock Screen now shows each athlete's colour instead of their name, so you can tell who's up next at a glance.
• Running late? If a game's end time moves while it's on, the pickup driver's Live Activity moves with it.
• Weather alerts are smarter about what actually matters for your game: severity, timing and hazard.
• Widgets with nothing scheduled now say so without running out of room.
• Fixed Settings for anyone who hasn't joined a household yet.
1.5.3 Oct 11
Fewer fumbles, more on-time arrivals. This update is all about polish:
• Schedule changes land faster. If a game gets dropped or just the end time moves, everyone in your household hears about it, CarPlay included.
• Live Activities know when the whistle blows. They clear out after the event ends, and pickups get their own when you're not staying.
• Helpers can pitch in on feeds and manual events, while athletes stay safely in the hands of the parents.
• Adding the same calendar twice? We'll quietly reuse the one you already have.
• Checking or unchecking a Google calendar now updates Today's conflict card right away.
• Your schedule stays put. Old games no longer vanish on their own, and solo parents keep everything after a reinstall.
• Sturdier sign-in and account deletion, plus a pile of behind-the-scenes fixes.
Thanks for driving, cheering and snack-dutying with us!
1.5.2 Oct 10
Joining a family is easier now, no permission slip required. Your morning briefing stays on, even after you sign out and back in. And we tightened privacy and security all over the app, which is less exciting than a buzzer-beater but way more important.
1.5.1 Oct 3
