House of Avatars is a small, cozy place online to gather, reflect and remember. Whatever you believe, or don't, you're welcome here.
It's a candlelit sanctuary, an old graveyard and a path lit by lanterns. Choose an avatar, come in and stay as long as you like. Day and night follow your own clock, with the real moon after dark. There's nothing to win and nowhere you have to be.
GATHER
- Gatherings and meditations at set times, led by people from the house or by Seeker Lilith and Groundskeeper Lurch, the house's two Residents.
- The shared responses glow gold, so everyone can say them together.
- Tap "I'm going" for a reminder, follow the countdown on your Lock Screen, or add the Next gathering widget to your Home Screen.
SIT QUIETLY
- Light a candle for an intention. It glows for everyone for a day.
- Post on the Intentions board and let others send you light.
- Meditate with a singing bowl, or pray in the chat. Prayers stay on your device and are never saved.
- Visit the memorial stones in the graveyard and leave a flower.
TALK
- Chat with people nearby, whisper a friend, and send a heart or praying hands.
- See who's here and open their profile.
- New or stuck? Ask a Guide for help. Block or report anyone from their card, and Custodians act on reports.
- Talk with Lilith and Lurch. They're characters of the house. Their gatherings and meditations are written ahead of time, and an AI writes their chat replies. Before your first chat with them, the house asks if that's all right.
House of Avatars is free, and it's for adults, 18 and older. Guests can visit the sanctuary. A free account lets you go out to the graveyard, make friends and get reminders, and it works on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV.
