HOW IT WORKS
Add the people you want to stay close to. Choose how often you'd like to reach out to each one: once a month, every few months, every six months, or once a year. Each day, Dear suggests someone to contact. Tap to text, call, or FaceTime. That's it.

Dear and Friendo are free and trilingual (English, French, and Spanish). Premium voices include Sherlock, Emily Brontë, Dracula, Nonna, Haiku, Noir, and Mom Text in English, Marcel Proust, Cyrano, and Le Renard in French, and Don Quijote, El Mar, and La Abuela in Spanish.

BUILT FOR PRIVACY
No accounts. No ads. Your contacts, your notes, and your reminder schedule stay on your iPhone and are never uploaded. What Dear does send is limited to anonymous usage stats, crash reports, and purchase records, none of it linked to you or to the people in your circle.

Honestly an amazing app and concept.I know the founder who introduced me to the app, that said this review is 100% my own opinion.I genuinely think Dear is an incredibly helpful way to stay in touch with people who I keep meaning to reach out to.As in: family who may not be around forever and for whom every touch point counts. Friends and contacts who don’t live where I live anymore.It solves for an issue I’ve lived with unresolved for many years. I felt like a bad friend or someone who couldn’t follow up on connections. And now I can reverse that dynamic and actually maintain my relationships and be a better friend, daughter, even business contact, etc.It means so much to me to hear from a friend on their own accord, so I can only imagine how much it means to others. Dear is helping me stay on track with that proactivity. Thank you Earl for building this!

I am currently using the free version, as I am having a good time staying consistent with 10 people this app had me deliberately choose. I was never able to say that before! I’m looking forward to making intentional connections more of a habit and growing my circle of consistency with this app.

Genuinely revolutionary for me. I'm terrible at replying to messages and have a hard time making myself do it. This app has really helped me keep friendships. One thing I would love to be added is a way to customize how often you want to reach out to someone- daily, biweekly,etc.
