In an article, photos and text flow down the page in motion; a magazine is read one page at a time. Enjoy looking back on the photos from the days you went out. You can now merge a day’s records into one and move several recorded photos to another spot at once. Photos can be saved in their original quality, and you can see their shooting details. - Five new widgets See this month’s records and photos from a year ago right on your Home Screen, without opening the app. The five are This Month, Today, On This Day, Latest Photo, and Favorite Place. - Now on iPhone Duo Open it up to see the map and your records together on the big screen. In landscape, the map is on the left half and your records on the right. Fold it halfway and stand it up to watch memories on the top half while using the controls on the bottom half. There are also 51 other improvements and 18 bug fixes. You can read them all in the app under Settings > Version History.

- See every road you’ve traveled on a map Open “Roads You’ve Traveled” in the Data tab to see the roads you’ve taken laid over one map. Each road counts only once, however often you take it. - Fix your routes in more detail When editing a route, choose how you traveled for each segment or make the line follow the roads. Trace around places you’d rather not show, like near your home, to hide the line there. There are also 17 other improvements and 22 bug fixes. You can read them all in the app under Settings > Version History.

- Memories now play with music Each design plays its own matching music, with sounds that follow what happens on screen. Saved and shared videos include it too. - Digest and Flyover have a new look Digest first shows the places you visited that day on a map, then moves on to the photos. Flyover keeps the map on screen while the photos and text above change with the same motion as Editorial. There are also 11 other improvements and 15 bug fixes. You can read them all in the app under Settings > Version History.

- Bookmark places from shop and event pages Share a page and choose RONDO to keep the shop or event on it on your map. Pages with a date are added as events. - Shared cards now come in 11 designs Pick one under Design when you share. There are also 9 aspect ratios, such as 1:1 and 9:16. - Memories get 5 new designs Big dates and times move along with your photos. Swipe sideways after opening one to switch designs. There are also 16 other improvements and 6 bug fixes. You can read them all in the app under Settings > Version History.

Meet the new RONDO. We redesigned the icon and logo, and the default look is now black and white. - Memories now come in 3 styles “Digest” is the Memories style you already know. Video clips from your records appear only in Digest. “Flyover” flies over a 3D map, visiting the places where you took photos, in order. A pin drops at each place, and its photos play alongside the map. “Slideshow” is a video of just your photos, shown one after another at a steady pace, up to 15 seconds long. Choose any of them under “Memories” at the bottom of a day’s Log. Once one is open, swipe sideways to switch styles. - The Data tab now shows photos and maps “Favorite Place” and “Frequently Visited” now appear as large cards with a photo of the place. Countries you’ve been to are filled in on the world map under “By Country.” On the world map, countries you haven’t been to yet are drawn only in outline, so you can see at a glance what’s left. - Tap a number to see what’s behind it In the Data tab, tap a number under “Statistics” to open its list: the places for “Places Visited,” the photos for “Photos taken.” - Record a whole day’s photos at once Tap “Record all at once” on the Record screen. The photos you haven’t recorded yet appear grouped by where you took them, earliest first. The places are already filled in, so just fix anything that’s off and record them all. “Record all at once” appears when a day in the last 7 days has 2 or more photos you haven’t recorded. - Choose from 9 color themes Besides black-and-white Monochrome, there are 8 new themes: Pixel, a green inspired by old handheld game consoles, plus Purple, Cobalt, Vermilion, Mint, Lime, Teal and Fuchsia. Find them in Settings > Display > Theme. Every theme has a light and a dark version. Stickers have 3 new effects: “Foil,” “Lens” and “Prism.” “Shiny” is now called “Holo.” On the “Make a sticker” screen, “By hand” lets you touch up an automatic cutout with your finger. The “Card” at the bottom of a day’s Log has a new “Grid” option that puts a photo from each record into a single image. “Grid” appears on days when 4 or more records have photos, and a Portrait card fits up to 12 photos. The Data tab adds “When you record,” “Destinations by month” and “Time on the move.” “Destinations by month” shows when the period is set to “All Time.” “Recording streak” and “Past Year” have been removed. “Record directly on the map” is gone from the Record screen. To pick a place on the map, use “From the map,” which now sits next to “Current location.” To edit a record, change its date or delete it, tap the “…” at its top right, which replaces the long-press menu. When you export a Memories video, iOS may ask whether to allow screen recording. RONDO uses it to record the Memory while it plays and save that as a video. If you decline, the export still works, just more slowly. We also fixed 18 issues, including a crash when opening the camera to add a record.

Now you can save the days you just dropped by. - Check in Open a place and tap Check in: just the date and time are saved. No photo, no words needed. If you want to add something later, you can add photos and a note from that record. - Set the map separately for Spots and Log Keep Spots on satellite and Log on standard. You can also hide the shops and places the map itself shows. We also made records open on the right half of the screen in landscape, so the map stays on the left. From a date inside a place you can jump to that day in Log, and Settings got tidied up.

This update is about how the app moves. - Smoother scrolling on the map and in Log You can now scroll a day's log from top to bottom in one go, and the more photos that day has, the bigger the difference. The map is the same, and pinching in and out no longer catches. We also fixed the pause after saving an entry, a brief freeze when you touch the map right after opening the app, letters lagging behind while typing in search, and the app slowing down while iCloud syncs. The album list opens faster too.

This update makes RONDO easier to use. - Show a day's log in a Home Screen widget Without opening the app, the widget shows the line you walked today and the places you stopped at. There is also an extra-large size that fills a whole Home Screen page with a favourite place, which requires iOS 27. - Stickers now appear on the map in Log too Stickers you placed on the Spots map now appear on the map in Log. Tap one to change its note, or press and hold to move it right there. - Search in natural words Even without the exact name or date, you can search in the words you remember, like "the day I went to Okayama last year." The search runs only on your iPhone, so neither your records nor your question go anywhere. Requires an iPhone with iOS 27 and Apple Intelligence. We also made other improvements, such as finding records by the food or scenery in your photos, tidying the screen you get when you tap a sticker, and giving full-width buttons one shape, and fixed bugs including days you didn't go out picking up a distance from GPS drift and the map being pulled back after tapping the current-location button.

This update makes RONDO easier to use. - Nearby spots now appear on the record screen Recording again at a regular place or somewhere you just visited meant searching the map or list all over again. Opening the record screen now lists your saved spots within 2 km of the map center, nearest first. Tap one to record at that spot right away. - Photos you haven’t recorded yet now show on the map Until now a day’s photos were listed in Log, but where they were taken only showed once you opened them. The spot now appears on the map as a dotted marker. A glance at the map tells you which places you haven’t recorded yet, and tapping a marker opens the place where those photos are lined up. - The record screen is tidier. “Here now” became the “Current location” icon under “Record now,” the “Record directly on the map” cards now take you straight to the map, and “Choose where to record on the map” is a large button. - The Log bar has a black round button on the left to open it and a “Today” button on the right, so you can jump back after browsing the past. - Changing a spot’s location meant pressing and holding the map to drop a new pin, which was a roundabout way to go about it. The pin now stays in the middle of the screen and you move the map under it. - Adding photos to a spot’s record used to mean opening the editor. You can now add them straight from the “+” at the right end of the photo row. We also improved a few other things, such as showing unrecorded photos at the same size as recorded ones, unifying button shapes, and starting the Log map flat instead of tilted, and fixed several bugs, including the Log jumping back to the top after recording from a photo, dismissed photos coming back, the photo list after deleting photos, and the map zoom changing when you switch tabs.

This update makes RONDO easier to use. - The map for a day or an album is now much bigger Until now the map shrank while you read your records, so it was hard to take in where you had been. The map now fills the screen, and the records pull up from the bottom. - Everything for finding a place is now in the Search tab Searching was split between a button on the map and the Search tab, which was confusing. It all lives in the Search tab now. - Closing a place you found in Search used to snap the map back to your current location, so you had to look it up again. It now stays where you were looking. We also improved a few other things, such as a compass that appears when you rotate the map, and fixed several bugs including layout problems when the device is turned sideways.

Your movement for the day now appears as a single line right under the date in the Log. - See the day's distance and time at a glance. Tap it to choose which hours to show, or to delete that day's movement. No more aiming at a thin line on the map. - Editing movement now works by choosing the hours to show, instead of adding hours to hide. Pinch the ends of the bar to shrink it, and everything outside is hidden. - What the app called "track" is now called "movement" everywhere.

Bug fixes and small improvements. - Fixed a bug where “Switch to Always” and “Turn on” in the Log notice sometimes did not open Settings. - When you stick a sticker on the map, you can now set its size and tilt while placing it on the map. - The “Movement isn’t being recorded” notice in the Log can now be closed with the × in the top right.

4.0 is a big update. You can now customize the map with your photos, and days you took no photos can still be recorded. Stick photos on the map as stickers A photo that is not quite a record can go on the map with its background cut out. Add a few words and they appear in a speech bubble. Stickers are not records, so they do not count as visits. The map becomes yours alone. A new Search tab “That place, when did I go there?” Now you can search by place name, note, tag or date. Opening the tab already shows your frequent words and On This Day, so you can browse without typing. Places you stopped appear as suggestions Even on a day you forgot to record, any place you stayed for 10 minutes or more lines up in the Log as a suggestion. One tap records it, and nothing is saved until you tap (with Movement recording turned on in Settings). Who you were with Write a name in a record and you can narrow the map down to the places you went with that person. Names are not linked to your contacts. Ten seconds of ambient sound Waves, the hum of a shop, the wind. Things a photo cannot keep, recorded from Ambient sound on the record screen. Record without opening the app Capture Here Now from Siri, Shortcuts or the Action button. The Record button in Control Center opens the record screen right away. Your day in one sentence Only when you tap Write this day for me, Apple Intelligence writes one sentence from facts such as the places you visited and the distance you covered. It does not read your photos or notes (supported devices only). New and improved - Added Record by Voice: just speak, and the note is saved. - Visit the same place on three or more days and you can make a Memory (video) for that place alone. - Added a setting that tells you about an old record when you pass a place you have not visited in over a year (off by default). - Bookmarks can now carry a note, shown in a speech bubble above the pin on the map. - The map on the Spot screen is now full screen, and Nearby Entries opens from the row above the tabs. - iPhone search (Spotlight) can open a day’s Log by place or shop name. - Fixed several issues, including Notify When Nearby going silent once there were more than 20 places. The minimum requirement is now iOS 26.

The map is now in 3D, and it follows your scrolling Seen from directly above, a day spent climbing a hill and a day walking along a river looked like the same flat line. The map is now tilted and three-dimensional, so the rise of the ground and the height of buildings show. Scroll down through your records and the map zooms to each place; back at the top or the bottom, it returns to a view of the whole day. Handing a day to someone is easier too. A Memory you can save as a video and a Card you can save as an image now sit at the end of the day, shown as they will look. New and improved - You can now choose the quality photos are saved at. High saves at twice the resolution of Standard. - Recording now starts from the Map screen only. - The photo strip in the timeline scrolls freely, and problems with dates and with adding photos have been fixed.

Interrupted routes are now joined with a dotted line Sections where the location could not be obtained, and the record jumped, are now joined with a dotted line. Even when the exact route is unknown, you can see at a glance that you traveled that stretch. Your location at the moment you open the app is also added to the route data, so fewer gaps are left in the record. New and improved - Reworded the in-app banner that announces an update, making it easier to read.

Turn a day or an album into one card You could share a memory video, but not a whole day as a single image. The share button at the top right of the map in Log turns that day (or period) into one card. Albums work the same way from “…”. For the background, pick the 3D map or a photo you took that day. Bookmarks that tell you when you're nearby Bookmarking a place didn't help if you never noticed you were passing by it. Turn on “Notify When Nearby” on the spot's screen and you'll get a notification when you come close. The range can be set from 100m to 500m. Move a single photo to another spot If a photo from the shop next door slipped into a batch you picked together, you no longer have to delete the note and start over. Long-press the photo, or use “…” in full screen, to move just that one to another spot. New and improved - The card in Log now has two levels: a background and layers on top. Swipe to pick the background — satellite, map, photo or none — and switch the places, the route, the numbers and the format right under the card. Pins and route are drawn exactly like the map in Log, and keep the same size and position over every background. You can lay the route over a photo, or drop the map and keep only the line and the pins. - The map on a share card now draws that day's route too. If the map in Log shows a line, the card shows the same line. - Share cards can now be exported without a background. Transparency is kept, so they can be layered over other images or videos. - The screen for places with no record yet is now just two actions: “Bookmark” and “Notify When Nearby”. No more reading a note and then hunting for the control. - The map on a share card is now drawn as richly as the map in the Map tab. It used to come out pale and washed out. The route is drawn larger than before, too. - A photo used as the background of a share card is now loaded at its original quality, so it no longer turns rough when it fills the whole card. - All share cards now look the same. Size, text and spacing differed slightly from screen to screen; they are now unified. - Dates now look the same everywhere in the app: the year small above, the date in large figures. Log, notes, cards and memories all look alike. - Sharing and memories in the Data tab now start from one place — right under the period heading, instead of buttons scattered across five sections. - On the map in Log, the album list button moved to the top left. The top right is now for sharing that day. - The frequent places and favorites cards now show five entries at most. Changing the format no longer changes how many fit. - Memories for frequent places, favorites and categories no longer draw the route. Those places aren't in time order, and a line would suggest you walked them that way. - When you save an image or video to Photos, a confirmation now appears right away. Sharing a memory showed nothing at all before. Fixes - Fixed an issue where movement tracking could stop partway through the day. On a train or underground, where the position is hard to get, the route ended there and did not resume until you changed the accuracy setting.

Your first record, from a photo At the end of the intro you see right after installing, suggestions now appear from your recent photos. Tap one and the record screen opens with the place name filled in — save it and your first pin is on the map. Open a record straight from a photo you tapped Tap a photo that catches your eye in the Log timeline and the memo detail opens at that photo. No more hunting for the shot you were just looking at. Keep a milestone as a card Your 100th spot, or the 50th visit to the same shop. Tap “Share this milestone” on the celebration and it becomes a single card backed by a photo of the place or a 3D map. Until now it just disappeared after five seconds. New and improved - After you save a record, we now show what you can do next, once each. It appears after your first record and after you have three. - The map now also shows suggestions from recent photos while you have no records yet. If you skipped it in the intro, you can still start from the same suggestions later. - The guidance under the map has been tidied up. You can read how to record, with illustrations, from “How do I record?”. - Memories editing now has “Show the route you walked”. You can choose per video whether the route is drawn on the map (the distance travelled is still shown). - In memo detail, the share button and the “…” menu are now shown as separate buttons. - You can now cancel a Memories export midway. The half-written video is deleted automatically. - Buttons in spot detail and the Data tab now look the same as in memo detail. - In memo detail, the gap above the photos when there is no text or rating has been closed up. - The share card screen now offers a ready-made caption you can paste as is. Tap to copy. - You can now open “Share this app” from the share card screen. Show the QR code and hand it over on the spot. - When you share a Memory, the share sheet now shows the video’s title and a frame from it. Until now it just showed the exported file name. - Watch a Memory to the end and a one-time hint about the share button appears. - Fixed “Permissions” and similar rows in Settings becoming unreadable at larger text sizes. - Notice of a new version has moved from a dialog at launch to a banner in Settings. The red dot on the Settings tab tells you it’s there, and the × in the corner dismisses it. Fixes - Fixed the spot share card sometimes showing an empty sheet the first time you tapped Share.

Background movement tracking RONDO can now record your location periodically even when the app isn’t open, and draw the day’s route on the map. Even on days you forgot to log anything, you can look back later. Enable it under Movement Tracking in Settings. - Hide any time range you’d rather not show, such as sleep or a ride in someone else’s car. The original data is kept, so you can bring it back at any time. - Choose from three levels of accuracy: High, Standard and Low. Higher accuracy gives a smoother track, and a preview in Settings lets you compare them. - Recap videos animate the track in chronological order, so the route and the order you visited places read at a glance. - Track data is stored only on your device and in your iCloud, and is never sent to any external server. New and improved - Tap the track on the map to switch its display or open the edit menu. - Tapping the track shows the distance moved and the hours it covers. The editor also shows the distance that remains after hiding a stretch. - The Data summary now shows steps and walking distance plus total distance moved, including travel by car or train. - The vertical line in the timeline is tinted with a gradient by time of day, making the shape of a day easier to read. - Unsaved photos appear one by one at the time they were taken, so shots between two places sit naturally in between. - Unsaved photos taken in a row at the same place can be logged together as a single entry. - If a place already has an entry from the same day, you can add the photo to it instead of creating a new one. - Settings has a new Permissions section. Check location, notifications, photos and Health at a glance, and change anything that isn’t set right there. - When a permission is missing or Health data isn’t coming through, the cause and what to do about it are now shown clearly. - Records from the same date in past years can be seen and opened on any day, not just today. - Added a Back to Today button to return to the current day from the calendar or timeline in one tap. - Tuned the drawing speed in recap videos and adjusted the framing so places near the edge are no longer cut off. - When picking photos, press and hold to see a larger preview. - Fine-tuned photo sizes in the timeline and place details for easier scrolling and better legibility. - Reordered the settings by importance. Fixes - Improved tap detection on the track so it works even where recorded points are far apart. - Fixed an issue where Edit This Day’s Track sometimes did not open. - You can now move an entry to a different place, so there’s no need to delete and recreate it. - Fixed a bug where the Cancel button was missing from the delete confirmation dialog. - Fixed a bug where switching dates left the previous day’s state behind and the Log list appeared blank. - Fixed a bug where tapping a business pin on the map could open a record from a different location. - Adjusted the contrast of some very small text for better readability.

You can now narrow the map by category Pick a category above the list and only that kind stays. The pins on the map are filtered along with it, so when you are looking for a café, only cafés remain on screen. Bookmark a place you searched for, right there Just tap the bookmark to the right of a place you found and it goes into your want-to-go list. No detour through registering it as a spot first. Places you have already recorded are shown as such. Check places you haven’t recorded against the real view When a place you searched for or picked on the map has no records yet, you now see the real view of that spot. The storefront tells you whether it’s the place you had in mind, which a name and address alone never did. Map search is faster. Suggestions appear as you type, and only places from the area you are looking at come back. When one of your own records is near a place you found, the distance from it now appears. It tells you where the place is faster than an address does. When you record from a photo that has a location, the spot where it was taken now appears as a marker on the map. When you pick a place on the map, your location now shows as a blue dot, clearly apart from the spot pins. The filter screen now shows everything as soon as it opens. Fixed: opening “Choose from your notes” for the cover photo sometimes stayed empty. You can also now tell when it is still loading. Fixed: memories containing videos did not play in chronological order. Photos and videos now run in the order you captured them.
