Ring-Out: Spektral now watches for feedback as you push the system, names the frequency the moment it starts to grow, and builds a list with suggested notch and Q to copy straight to the console. Gain tracking: change your preamp gain mid-show and the SPL calibration follows it, so your readings stay true without recalibrating. Calibration is now remembered per device and per input channel, and survives an interface being moved to a different port. Transfer function phase is more accurate at high frequencies, with sub-sample delay compensation so the delay you read is the delay that was applied. SPL reports now include every Leq window, and the window fits properly on scaled displays.

Feedback Sentinel Spektral now watches for feedback as it forms. Growing tones are flagged on the RTA before they take off, each with a suggested notch (cut and Q), and every confirmed ring is collected into a session ring-out list you can copy straight to the console. Instant replay Right-click the spectrograph (long-press on iPhone) to replay the audio behind any moment in the last minute. Heard something odd? Scroll back and listen again. iPhone wireless probe Run Spektral on your iPhone and it becomes a wireless measurement mic. Its spectrum overlays the Mac RTA in violet, and in Transfer mode the new Probe Mic button uses the phone as the measurement input: walk the room and run the Align wizard with no cable run. Delays over the link read as relative between positions. SPL: rolling Leq and Limit Guard Every Leq readout is now a true rolling window, the last N minutes exactly as a licensing officer measures. The SPL overlay readouts are tappable to pick 1 to 60 minute windows, the SPL page adds a five-tile Leq grid (1m, 15m, 30m, 1h, 8h), and the new Limit Guard counts down to your venue limit with an exact time-to-limit forecast. iPhone SPL meter The iOS app gains a full SPL Monitor mode: hero readout, rolling Leq, min, max, average and history graph from your calibrated phone. Multi-position captures Capture up to 12 positions (up from 6) into the redesigned sidebar, with per-position quality scoring, a coherence-weighted average trace, a position spread band, and show/hide for every trace. Sessions autosave and restore between launches. Delay finder, rebuilt Finds delays up to 1.4 seconds using whitened correlation with a quality gate, locks reliably on music or noise, and the impulse response view anchors the direct arrival at zero with labelled reflections and comb-filter prediction. Refinements Run and pause are now a transport pair with the active state highlighted. Fullscreen keeps the mode tabs as part of the app rather than a detached system bar, and Ctrl+Cmd+F toggles fullscreen. Uncalibrated SPL readouts are labelled dBFS(A) with a clear warning until you calibrate. RT60 and STIPA measurement accuracy tightened after a standards audit. Fixes Major performance work: captures on screen now cost nothing while measuring, menus stay responsive during heavy sessions, and long-running sessions no longer slow down over time. Thanks to our beta testers for the detective work. Keyboard shortcuts no longer fire while typing in text fields or while holding modifier keys.

96kHz support Spektral now runs at 96kHz on interfaces that support it, for finer resolution in the top end. Refinements Hide the spectrograph for a full-height RTA when you want maximum spectrum detail. New toggle to let the cursor free-run instead of snapping to peaks, for pinpointing an exact frequency. Gain and Floor, along with the Peak, Identify and Snapshot tools, now appear only in RTA mode where they apply. Mode tabs respond to a click anywhere on the button, not just the text. The sample rate now reads in kHz in the status bar. Fixes Fixed pink noise stuttering on high channel count interfaces. Transfer function now locks onto the built-in pink noise reliably, since the noise is correlated across channels. The Remote Monitoring window can now be closed with a button, not just the Escape key.

Independent spectrum and SPL weighting — keep the spectrum flat for full bandwidth while still reading an A-weighted (or C, or Z) SPL level. Both are set in Settings. Transfer function with the built-in noise — the pink noise generator is now correlated across channels, so the reference and mic line up and the delay locks when you drive the system from even if there is any output channel mixing.

Multichannel interfaces, done right Switching to a multichannel interface or mixer now works directly in the app, delivering every channel at the correct sample rate, with no need to relaunch. Spektral now remembers your selected input and output device across launches. Reliable signal routing Pink noise and the STIPA test signal now play out of the interface you choose, not whatever the system default happens to be, and pink noise stays on your chosen device even when the macOS default output changes. Sharper readouts and measurement SPL calibration is now saved per device, so switching mics or interfaces and back restores the right calibration. Frequency weighting (A, C and Z) is now a click to change control in the status bar. More accurate RT60 measurements. Transfer function Reflections now stand out clearly from the direct sound in the impulse response, with their predicted comb filtering colour matched to the reflection that causes it. Other improvements Save Session now opens a standard save dialog. Layout fixes so the toolbar controls stay clear on smaller and scaled displays. Stability and performance improvements.

More accurate SPL We have refined the SPL weighting so dB(A) readings now closely track reference meters. Recalibrate with your calibrator and levels should line up with the house meter. Reference overlay on the RTA With a dual-channel input connected, the new Ref button overlays the reference channel's live spectrum on the RTA, so you can compare a mic against a console feed at a glance. Faster input and FFT switching The input routing and FFT readouts in the status bar are now click-to-change. Set your input device, output device, measurement and reference channels, or FFT size in one tap, no trip to Settings. Refreshed toolbar A cleaner, grouped layout with quick toggles for the input meters and the SPL overlay. RT60 improvements The overall reverberation figure now uses only the high-confidence bands, and low-confidence readings are dimmed so they are easy to spot. Also Spectrogram range handles can no longer be dragged off screen, plus various refinements and fixes.

On multi-input interfaces, assign measurement and reference to any inputs — and the RTA now follows your measurement channel only. Tougher audio engine.
