Your watch already knows why some runs feel harder. RunNerd reads the data you've been collecting and tells you what it means, in plain English, run by run.
RunNerd reads the runs you've already done and tells you what they mean.
Same pace, lower heart rate. Faster, but working harder. Cadence slipping on the long ones. The things your numbers say when someone actually reads them.
START WHERE YOU ARE
Pick a goal that's actually next for you: run your first mile, run 30 minutes without stopping, finish your first 5K, or step up to 10K. RunNerd builds the plan around it and adjusts as you go.
NO WATCH NEEDED
Your phone can track and guide the whole run. Tap start and it cues every run and walk interval out loud. If you do have a watch, start it alongside and your heart rate flows into the analysis automatically.
RUN/WALK THAT MAKES SENSE
Walk breaks are part of the plan, not a failure. Structured intervals with spoken cues, so you never wonder how long is left.
YOUR COACH NOTICED
After every run, plain-English reads on what actually happened. Not just "you ran 3 miles" — whether your pace improved because you got fitter or because you worked harder, and what to do about it.
ASK ANYTHING
A coach you can talk to. Ask how to approach today's workout, why last week felt hard, or what your numbers mean.
WORKS WITH YOUR GEAR
Apple Health, Apple Watch, Garmin, intervals.icu, and anything that writes to Apple Health. Your existing running history comes with you.

Built by a lifter who became a runner and got tired of staring at numbers that didn't explain anything.
This app has helped me as a brand new runner actually wanna go out and run. Having my coach give immediate feedback after each run invaluable
This release is about accuracy — in what we record during your run, and in the plan we build around it.
GUIDED RUNS
- Fixed a bug where automatic pause detection could stop the clock while you were still running, making your pace read faster than you actually ran.
- Audio coaching no longer goes silent mid-run. Mile and half-mile cues play reliably, and the mile callout is easier to follow.
- A finished run can no longer be lost if you close the app before saving it. We now recover it and offer it back.
- Your run keeps counting past the prescribed distance instead of ending on you.
- GPS distance is more accurate — we smooth position data before measuring, removing a consistent over-measurement against watch distance.
YOUR PLAN
- Plans now respect the experience level you gave us. Some runners were being held to beginner mileage limits regardless.
- A run you've already completed can no longer be changed by a later plan edit.
- Adjusting your week can't shorten it or drop days you didn't touch.
- Fartlek and hill runs are guided as continuous efforts with mile-by-mile pacing, matching how they're actually run.
ALSO
- More accurate run analysis, including treadmill and manually logged runs.
- Log a run the app never saw.
- Fixes to Home, weekly recaps, and notification prompts.
