Aurora Tromsø Northern Lights tells you where and when to look for the aurora tonight, spot by spot, instead of one region-wide forecast.
Pick one of 33 named viewing spots around Tromsø, from Ersfjordbotn and Sommarøy to Lyngseidet and Kilpisjärvi, and see a single 0–100 score for tonight. It combines live aurora activity (NOAA Kp index), hour-by-hour cloud cover for that exact place (MET Norway), real darkness, moonlight and local light pollution. Compare spots side by side and drive to the one with the best odds.
Features:
• Tonight's score and best viewing window for every spot
• Hour-by-hour cloud and darkness breakdown, so you know when to be there
• Live Kp index and a new Aurora view with current activity and labelled hourly outlooks
• Sky and road cameras in separate views, with images displayed inside the app
• Optional road traffic notices and camera locations on the map
• Trip Mode: ranks the spots nearest to you while you are out
• Parking, bus and getting-there details for each spot
• English, German, French, Spanish and Chinese
No account, no ads. Location is optional and stays on your phone; the two data-sharing options are off until you switch them on.
Whether you live in Tromsø or are visiting for a few nights, the app answers one question: where should I go tonight?
