Version 1.4.0 introduces the 360° Position View — a completely redesigned detail screen for every stock in your portfolio. You'll now see a dual-ring score visualiser showing your Safety and Cash Flow ratings at a glance, a cost basis recovery bar with colour-coded progress, dividends received, years held, and a smarter price chart that automatically picks the best interval so your average cost line is always visible.

This update fixes a critical issue where some devices were not receiving automatic improvements — if you've been on an older version, this update brings everything current. Your home screen widget now refreshes instantly when you return to it, shows the AlgoDash logo, and no longer goes invisible in light mode. On the brokerage connection side: a step-by-step guide now appears after linking an account, a false "connection expired" error on first link is fixed, the app auto-retries if your broker's data isn't ready yet, and a Safari redirect error with certain brokers (e.g. Chase) is resolved.

This update improves brokerage connection reliability and adds a smarter home screen widget. After linking a broker account through OAuth (including Chase and other banks that redirect back to the app), AlgoDash now correctly handles the handoff — no more "Safari cannot open the page" errors. A helpful step-by-step banner guides you through selecting a portfolio and syncing after linking. If your broker's data takes a moment to arrive, the app will automatically retry so you never see an empty sync. The home screen widget has been redesigned with better typography, your app icon, and recovery label colors that match your portfolio's performance. It now refreshes instantly when you leave the app, so your widget always shows current data. Several display glitches in light mode and stale banner issues after logging out have also been fixed.

Add the widget to your home screen to see your monthly income, annual total, cost basis recovery, and upcoming dividend payments at a glance — no need to open the app. Widget data now syncs instantly when you return to the home screen after a pull-to-refresh, instead of waiting up to 15 minutes. The Goal Builder's My Scenarios view is now smarter. If your income goal is reached before year 10, the scenario cards highlight exactly which year you hit it and what your portfolio value will be at that point — instead of always showing the generic YR 10 / YR 20 columns. This makes it much easier to see at a glance how close each scenario is to your target.
