New Word Hints help you decide what to learn next. While you watch, words you have not marked yet that are close in level to your Learning words are highlighted in yellow with an underline, both in the subtitle bar and in the transcript. Marking a word removes the highlight right away. Tap a highlighted word to see why it was suggested: how many times it appears in this video, and whether it is close to your current level or simply a common word in shows and films that you have not marked yet. Hints are available for English, Spanish, Chinese and Korean subtitles, and only when the subtitle language matches the language you are learning. They are on by default. In Settings, open New Word Hints to turn them off, or to read about the word frequency data and its license.

Reinforce now includes words you save from web articles. With the optional zeroStudy Chrome extension on your computer, highlight a word or phrase on a web page and save it. The word then appears in Reinforce on your phone, together with the page title and the text around it. On each card, you can open the original page, tap other words in the saved text to save them too, or show a translation of the text. Translation is a Pro feature, the same as for video subtitles. Reinforce by Source now lists each web page as its own source next to your videos, so you can practice the words from one article at a time. Manual Entries now contain only words you added yourself. Vocabulary cleanup now shows the web page and saved text for words that came from web articles.

Getting started is easier. The new language setup and Reinforce guidance walk you through choosing a learning language, watching your first video, and saving words to practice. When you have no viewing history, open Immerse to find curated starter videos for supported languages. If no curated list is available, you can discover videos other learners have watched when available and open suggested YouTube searches with the subtitle filter applied. Copy a video link back into zeroStudy to watch. Captions now prioritize your learning language when available. Recent videos now show thumbnails, and we fixed issues with recording first views and refreshing the list. You can resend your verification email from the sign-in screen. Sign-in and registration errors are now clearer and localized. Vocabulary cleanup now includes previously practiced words that are at least 30 days overdue. Check their practice count and last practice date, then select the words you want to remove. Cleanup deletes the selected words and their practice history.

You can now purchase zeroStudy Pro directly in the app. In Settings, tap Upgrade to Pro to compare monthly, yearly, and lifetime plans. The new plan page compares Free and Pro features and identifies features available on a computer. Use Pro across mobile and desktop with the same account. We have also redesigned Settings and subscription management so you can check your current plan, see renewal or expiry details, and open management for the platform where you purchased it. You can also restore previous App Store purchases from the plan page.

You can now select and mark phrases across subtitle lines. In Immerse, tap the expand button on the subtitle card to show nearby lines, then select the phrase you want to save.

Word highlights now use different styles depending on where you marked them. Words you marked in the current sentence have a border. Words you marked only in other sentences appear with a lighter background and no border.

Selecting subtitle ranges is now more convenient. Previously, you used the left and right expansion buttons to choose what to look up. In Immerse, you can now touch and hold the subtitle below the video, drag the selection handles to adjust the range, then tap Look up. The existing expansion buttons remain available.

Fixed Japanese subtitle lookup selecting an entire sentence. You can select individual characters again and extend the selection left or right to look up and save words or phrases. Fixed word pronunciation not playing when your iPhone is in silent mode.

Choose your pronunciation voice: Open Pronunciation in Settings to preview and select an available voice for your target language. Your choice is saved on this device. You can also keep Automatic selected to let zeroStudy choose for you. News in the app: Tap the bell on the Reinforce screen to read zeroStudy news and feature updates. A red dot lets you know when there are unread announcements.

Explain in context now shows the whole sentence (Pro): • The explanation now comes with the sentence it is about, and your word highlighted inside it, so "in this sentence" points at something you can actually read. • That sentence is rebuilt from the subtitle lines around your word, so an idiom or a phrasal verb split across two lines is explained as one whole expression. • Each explanation is now laid out as the expression, what it means here, and an example, instead of one block of text. Hear a word the moment you tap it: • Selecting a word or phrase while watching now plays its pronunciation right away, with no extra tap. Keyboard shortcuts while watching: • With a hardware keyboard connected, press A for the previous sentence, S to replay the current one, D for the next, and Space to play or pause. • On iPad, a shortcut row above the subtitles shows the keys so you do not have to remember them.

Daily goal countdown: • See how much of your learning day is left, right on the home screen. • The countdown turns red when the day is almost over. Fixes: • Your streak no longer resets early. Daily progress now follows your own time zone. • Immerse now works with videos whose subtitles use a regional language, such as English (United States). • Settings now shows the correct app version.

Introducing Immerse on iPhone: • Paste a YouTube link and watch without leaving zeroStudy. • Follow interactive subtitles and select words or phrases in context. • Continue recently watched videos and track daily immersion progress. • Move saved vocabulary into Reinforce for spaced-repetition practice. This update also refreshes the mobile interface and improves playback, subtitle handling, and clipboard link detection.
