What's new in version 1.3.1? More stability and polish This release is mainly about lots of small improvements that make everyday use of the app smoother and more reliable. Chat The view now follows the answer as it appears — no more scrolling to keep up. If something goes wrong while sending, you can resend your message with a single tap instead of retyping it. Error messages are clearer and more honest, too. Read-aloud Playback is more reliable, and the timer now matches the actual length. Notices appear right inside the player, without disruptive pop-ups. Better readability Smaller text is now larger and follows your system font, contrast is stronger, and if you prefer things calmer, you'll appreciate the more restrained animations. Android The back button now reliably closes open notices and dialogs instead of unexpectedly leaving the app. Content is shown edge-to-edge in full screen, and you can pinch to zoom again. Profile and due date When you save, you now see a brief confirmation, a hint explains the valid range for your due date, and the date picker is easier to use. Safety and your data Exporting, importing and backing up your data now work more reliably — including chat and photos. Behind the scenes, we've further improved how your data is protected. What's new in version 1.3.0? The whole family grows along This release puts siblings front and center. Older children can now take an active part in the pregnancy: every week comes with a child-friendly explanation of how the baby is developing right now — in simple language that fits your child's age. We distinguish three age groups, so a preschooler is met just as well as a school-age child. Every explanation can be read aloud — so children who can't read yet can listen along and ask questions. You turn the sibling content on right in Settings, where you also add each sibling with name and age. A quiz for every age group To go with it, there's a new sibling quiz with questions for every age group — a lovely chance to talk about the baby together and bring the big brother or sister on board before the birth. A redesigned weekly view and topic-based quiz We've made the weekly view clearer: the Letter, Baby, Body and Partner sections are now quicker to spot thanks to icons. The weekly quiz is new, too — instead of one general question, each topic now has its own question you can answer straight from the text. Solved topics are marked with a check. A more accurate week display We've improved several details around the week calculation: the displayed week now switches reliably at midnight in your time zone, stays on the correct week even at the end of the pregnancy, and refreshes automatically when you reopen the app. Thank you for your trust.

Clearer copy across all languages In this version we put serious work into the content — fixing small errors, smoothing translations, and resolving language inconsistencies. You will notice it most in the weekly letters, in the baby, body and partner sections, and in the topic articles: sentences flow more naturally, typos are gone, and the tone of address is consistent everywhere. Particular care went into the English, Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese translations — they now sit closer to the German source, with more consistent tone and scope. Anonymous usage analytics — opt in on first launch On first launch we ask whether you want to help us make our advertising more effective. We collect only anonymous installation and usage data through Google Firebase Analytics — no profiling, no retargeting, no sharing with ad networks. You decide, and you can change your choice any time under "More → Anonymous usage analytics". Security updates in the background We performed several security updates to the underlying libraries so your data continues to be protected. Thank you for your trust.

Age confirmation on profile setup When creating your profile, you now confirm you're at least 17 years old. This step is deliberately built as an active confirmation and helps us deliver the app only to the right audience. Explicit consent for the AI chat Before you first chat with Verena or have content read aloud, a dedicated dialog asks for your consent. It explains who processes your messages and how you can withdraw your consent at any time. Support in difficult moments If a chat conversation becomes emotionally challenging, the app shows you relevant regional support options and a link to Profemina counselling — so you can quickly find professional help if you need it. Detection runs entirely on your device, with no telemetry. "Delete all data" One tap in settings, one confirmation — and the app fully resets: encrypted data, chat history, profile, all gone. Afterwards you start as on a fresh install. Better data export Your export now also includes ultrasound images and the chat history. Before every import, the app automatically backs up your current data, so an error never hurts. And: faster app startup and more stable chats under the hood.
