This update is about one thing above all: your messages arriving, every time. Photos, video and voice are nicer to send, and the whole app is lighter on your battery. MESSAGES THAT ARRIVE • A message keeps trying until it is confirmed delivered — after a weak signal, a restart, or days with the phone asleep. • Sent, delivered and read marks, so you always know where a message stands. • Schedule a message and the server sends it on time, even if your phone is switched off. This works in group chats too. • A new Delivery Reliability screen checks the settings on your iPhone that can quietly hold messages back, and takes you straight to each one. • Your inbox stays up to date in the background, without opening the app. • Deep fixes to how messages are stored and opened, so nothing is lost after a restart, a poor connection or a locked device. PRIVACY • Every message and call is end-to-end encrypted. Only you and the person you are talking to can read them. • Location data is removed from every photo you send. • Disappearing messages, with a timer you choose. • Face ID or a PIN can lock the app. • You can compare a security code with a contact to be sure who you are talking to. PHOTOS AND VIDEO • A new full-screen editor before you send: crop, rotate, draw, trim video and add a caption, then send with one tap. • A separate caption for each photo in an album. • Progress for every upload, and you can cancel just one of them. • Uploads carry on while you read other chats. • Videos are made smaller for speed, with no visible loss of quality. • Send files up to 100 MB. MEDIA AND MUSIC • A redesigned viewer with a preview strip, true proportions, a video timeline and saving to Photos or Files. • Galleries inside the chat, and "Show in chat" to jump from a file back to the message it came from. • One music player that follows you around the app. CHATS • Folders to sort your conversations. • Day separators and a floating date while you scroll. • A redesigned sticker, emoji and GIF picker. • Voice messages can be turned into text and translated. • You can see who is typing in a group chat. CALLS • Tap anyone's video to make it full screen. • The full list of participants in one tap. • Connecting and ringing are more dependable. BATTERY AND SPEED • A new Power section in Settings. Each visual effect can be turned off on its own, and they are ordered so the first switch saves the most. • The app does far less work while it sits idle in your pocket. • Heavy work was moved off the drawing thread, so scrolling and typing stay smooth. DESIGN • A refreshed look with translucent panels, floating islands and softer transitions between sections. • Swipe from the edge to go back. BACKUP • A rebuilt backup screen that answers one question clearly: is my history protected? • A damaged device can no longer overwrite a good backup, and encrypted data is never discarded without a recoverable copy. Plus many smaller fixes across chats, media, notifications and calls.

Performance, battery & cool phones • Major rendering overhaul: animated avatar frames and status emoji now share GPU textures, so chat lists stay perfectly smooth even with many premium contacts on screen at once. • Fixed device heating during heavy animations — up to 15× less GPU load on animated pages. • Chat and room lists no longer flicker or re-render every frame. • New switch in Settings → Media & profile to turn off cosmetic animations in lists and chats for maximum battery life. Profiles keep their animations so you never miss a look. Better sharing • Room invite links shared to other apps now open a proper invite page — and launch Secretly directly when it's installed. Previously shared links work again, too. • New "Share room" button right in the room menu — one tap to the native share sheet. Reliability • Group chats: fixed rare cases where messages could be lost while a member stayed offline for a long time — delivery is now durable end-to-end. • Killed phantom "unread" badges that appeared without an actual new message. • No more ghost notifications triggered by your own linked devices. • Purchases now credit reliably, and Restore Purchases fully refreshes your subscription — including across reinstalls. • Smarter recovery when a contact reinstalls the app: conversations heal automatically.
