The catalog has 1,200+ plants and 1,500+ named varieties. Planting and harvest dates come from your local frost dates. The free plan covers 30 permanent plants and 15 seasonal plantings a season.

Keep a care record for every fruit tree, berry bush and perennial. Log when you pruned, fertilized or divided, so next year you know what worked and what didn't. Leaftide works as a fruit tree tracker and a record of the rest of the garden at the same time.

Draw your yard in the drag-and-drop designer: raised beds, rows, a square foot garden, pots on the patio, or a community garden plot mapped bed by bed. Spacing guidance shows how much room each plant needs, so the garden layout on screen matches what fits in the ground.
A planting calendar for your climate
Enter your location and Leaftide works out your frost dates. Seed starting windows, transplant dates and harvest times are based on where you garden instead of a generic zone chart.
Your season on a timeline
Every planting shows predicted dates for each growth stage. You can see the whole season at a glance, plan succession plantings and spot gaps from seed to harvest.
The varieties you actually grow
Log 'Cherokee Purple' tomatoes rather than just 'tomato', with planting dates, locations and notes. Over the years this turns into your own record of which varieties do well in your garden.

This app is everything I needed all in one place! It has a garden layout tool that you can really customize to look exactly how you want— it’s kind of impressive actually. It has dynamic information based on your geo location, not just your zone. It has predictions and reminders for the plants you add to your garden so you never forget to pinch your basil tops and so you can keep track of when things are *supposed* to be germinating. It shows you your plants friends and foes and suggests plants that will complement your other plants. Developers are very quick to respond to questions and very helpful. The database of plants grows as more people add their specific varieties into the app and the developers are quick to add any plants that weren’t in the system before. I’ve tried tons of other seed and garden apps and none of them compare to this one in my opinion. I enjoy checking out my virtual garden multiple times a day :)
