Live Drone Detection
DroneDAA picks up FAA Remote ID broadcasts from nearby drones using Bluetooth, displaying each drone's position, altitude, speed, heading, and operator location on the map in real time. No internet required for local detection.
Live Aircraft Traffic
Connect to a portable ADS-B receiver to see manned aircraft positions, callsigns, altitudes, and velocities — the same data used by professional ground stations.
FAA Airspace Layers
Display Class B, C, D, and E airspace boundaries, TFRs, restricted and prohibited areas, and obstructions directly on the map. Know your airspace at a glance.
Proximity Alerts
Configurable caution and warning rings notify you when aircraft or drones enter your defined range and altitude thresholds. Alerts escalate with audio tones and haptic feedback so you never miss a conflict.

Note: ADS-B traffic requires a compatible GDL-90 receiver (such as a uAvionix skyAlert, Stratux, SkyEcho, or similar). Remote ID detection requires iOS 15+ and Bluetooth.
Ratings & Reviews
Aviation weather
• New METAR/TAF source on the Weather tab — see official observations from the 3 nearest reporting airports, with the raw report and a plain-English translation, plus the full TAF forecast decoded period by period
• NWS precipitation radar overlay on the map, with a replay of the last 30 minutes — the radar pill always shows how old the image is
• Fixed wind speeds reading far too high; values now match official observations
Airport-friendly alerts
• New "Ignore Ground Traffic" toggle silences alerts from aircraft taxiing on the ground — they stay visible on the map
• Airport service and emergency vehicles no longer trigger proximity alerts
• Transmitting aircraft your receiver can't locate (often parked) now appear in the ADS-B list as "no position" instead of being hidden
Fixes
• Targets no longer disappear from the map when settings change or aircraft touch down
• Unknown altitude now shows as "—" instead of 0 ft
