See your images. Not a loading screen.
Vista is an image viewer that gets out of the way. It's tiny, it's fast, and it shows your images in a clean, borderless window with nothing you don't need.
No bloated frameworks. No unnecessary features. Just your image, rendered instantly by your GPU.
WHAT YOU GET
- A borderless window that fits your image — no chrome, no clutter
- Arrow keys and trackpad swipes to browse entire folders
- Pixel-level zoom with a built-in color inspector and hex picker (⌥⌘C to copy)
- Display filters — Mono, Noir, Sepia, Invert — all non-destructive
- Full EXIF metadata, camera settings, and GPS coordinates
- Region selection, copy to clipboard, tag and organize — all without leaving the app
LIGHT ON YOUR MAC
Vista launches in under a second and barely touches your memory. It preloads nearby images in the background so browsing a folder feels instant. When you close it, it lets go — no background processes, no lingering resource drain.
BUILT FOR macOS
Pure Swift. Pure AppKit. GPU-accelerated rendering through Core Animation. No Electron, no web views, no cross-platform compromise. Vista is a proper Mac app — it looks right, it feels right, and it works with every image format macOS supports.

Just what I was looking for
nosillacast
I needed a way to bring graphics into video screencast recordings with no window chrome. I wrote a long-form review for my podcast, with a handful of small bugs I wanted to report, but the developer’s support page through Storepal isn’t functional. I can write the notes but when I hit submit feedback, the button doesn’t work. I’d love to help the dev - maybe they could find me through Podfeet?Again - fantastic app - can’t believe it’s free!
Developer Response
Thanks for the feedback. I fixed the bug of Storepal so now sending notes via it should work!
Good
Leav3
This is the missing picture viewer I've always wanted
• Animated GIF playback with pause and replay controls, background decoding, and bounded memory use.
• Browse every page of multi-page TIFF files with ↑ / ↓. Scroll or click the thumbnail strip on the right to jump between pages, and drag the viewport indicator to explore long pages. ← / → still switches files.
