It feels very clean right when you start up, but the fact that you can’t filter anything permanently or search by name has me wasting a lot of time looking for things.

Thanks for the feedback. We found and fixed the language fallback issue: StreamVision now defaults to English and automatically switches to French only when the device or app language is set to French. This will be included in the next App Store update.

Movies and episodes that wouldn't start now play, on your iPhone and on Chromecast.
• MKV and AVI playback: many recent movies and episodes come in these formats. They used to stop at "Unsupported video format"; they now play, with resume, audio and subtitle track selection, playback speed and next episode.
• If a file won't open in the standard player, StreamVision switches to a second, VLC-based player on its own.
• Chromecast: MKV movies now cast to your TV, with sound. Chromecast can't play the Dolby (AC3/E-AC3) or DTS audio of some files: when that happens, StreamVision automatically sends another copy of the same movie with compatible audio. If there isn't one, you get a message instead of a silent movie, and playback continues on your iPhone.
• Live channels and MP4 videos are unchanged: AirPlay and Picture-in-Picture work as before.
• Fix: after a connection drop, the app could retry forever. It now shows a clear message after 3 attempts.
