MarkdownWatcher is a Markdown viewer for macOS aimed at development workflows.
It opens Markdown files in a lightweight native window and provides rendered preview, source view, configurable reader and syntax themes, adjustable font size, and drag-and-drop support.
For single files, it is a fast way to inspect rendered Markdown without launching a larger IDE or editor.
For generated-document workflows, MarkdownWatcher can monitor a selected folder or an entire folder tree for added or modified Markdown files and open them as they appear. This is useful when AI-assisted coding tools emit Markdown artifacts such as implementation plans, design notes, code review summaries, runbooks, release notes, or status reports. Updated files can also surface changed sections so recent edits are easier to review.
There is a rudimentary editing mode, but MarkdownWatcher is focused on viewing and tracking Markdown output, not editing it.
