See a Chinese character. Learn how to say it. PinyinVision turns the Chinese around you — menus, street signs, packaging, textbooks — into vocabulary you can actually pronounce. Point your camera at it and you get the characters, the pinyin, and the English meaning. Most translation tools jump straight to English. PinyinVision keeps the step that matters for learning: how to say it out loud. SCAN THE WORLD AROUND YOU • Point your camera at Chinese text, or pick a photo from your library • Translate mode reads the characters — tap a word or drag a box to select exactly what you want • Detect mode names the object in front of you in Chinese, with alternatives • Pinch to zoom and pan while detection stays aligned • Read a selection as one sentence, or break it into individual phrases PRONUNCIATION FIRST • Pinyin shown directly above each character • Tap to hear it spoken, in a male or female voice • Per-character breakdown, each with its own pinyin and meaning • Example sentences for real context • Save a whole word or a single character with one tap BUILD A COLLECTION THAT MEANS SOMETHING • Organize words into custom decks with emoji icons • Attach the photo you found it in — the dish, the sign — so the memory sticks • Card or list view, filter by difficulty, automatic de-duplication • Word of the Day to keep a daily habit going STUDY WHAT YOU'RE ABOUT TO FORGET • SM-2 spaced repetition schedules every review at the right moment • Flip cards, swipe through, shuffle, and grade Again / Hard / Good / Easy • HSK 1–5 vocabulary decks included for everyone • Daily goal and streak tracking, with an evening nudge if your streak is at risk • Short on saved words? Sessions top up from HSK so your goal is always reachable PRACTICE WITH AN AI TUTOR • Conversational practice that picks up where you left off • Quizzes built from the words you have actually saved, not a generic list KEEP EACH OTHER GOING • Add friends by name or email • Monthly leaderboard ranked by streak and words translated • Browse a friend's collection when you need something new to learn Everything syncs across your devices. Sign in with Apple or Google. PINYINVISION PRO PinyinVision is free to use. The free tier includes 5 camera scans, 30 translations, and 30 audio playbacks each day, plus spaced repetition, HSK 1–5, custom decks, and friends. Pro raises the ceiling for daily use: • 100 camera scans a day instead of 5 • 300 translations and 300 audio playbacks a day • 300 AI Tutor messages and 40 generated quizzes a day • 60 minutes a day of live voice conversation with the tutor Subscriptions are billed to your Apple Account.
