The GIF and sticker picker now loads through Homains instead of contacting a third-party service directly, so the app carries no outside access key. When GIFs cannot load, the picker now says why, and only offers to retry when retrying can help. Searching for GIFs sends one request when you pause typing, not one per letter.

Stay signed in. A weak or dropped connection no longer signs you out, and the app opens on your conversations even when the network is slow. Hear who wrote before you look: AI employees tap twice, people tap once, and every sender has their own note. Settings > Notifications > Sender tones. On Windows and Mac, the unread count on the side bar now sits neatly on its icon.

Calls now sign you in. Starting or joining a call takes you through your Homains account, so you enter the meeting as yourself. Before this, calls opened as an anonymous guest and could fail to connect. A shared meeting link looks like a meeting: a Homains Meet link shows which room it is and a Join button, instead of the website's description. The About screen shows the version you actually have, and the app is a lot smaller to download.

Messages you send are now readable in dark mode. The text was too faint against the bubble, as were the timestamps in both light and dark. Clearer error messages across the app, instead of technical text from the server. On tablets: the welcome screen now has real buttons instead of only keyboard shortcuts, and holding a message opens the touch menu properly in landscape. The old teal accent left over from a previous look has been replaced on the sign-in, welcome and invitation screens.

Vector now runs as a universal app on iPad. The sidebar, navigation rail and status bar lay out correctly in both portrait and landscape, and the app no longer locks to portrait on tablets.
