What's new OpenWrt 24.10 / 25.x compatibility The dashboard's network speed, disk, and connection counts now work out of the box on OpenWrt 24.10+ — even without rpcd-mod-file or a custom ACL. The app falls back to ubus-native sources (network.device status, system.info, log.read) before touching file.read / file.exec, which OpenWrt 24.10+ now restricts with path-level ACLs. Updated ACL template & setup guide - The Quick Setup script now autodetects apk (24.10+) vs opkg (older) so the same one-liner works on every release. - The ACL JSON now grants path-level access to /sys/class/net/*, /proc/net/*, /proc/sys/net/*, /sbin/*, and /etc/init.d/* — the path whitelist that 24.10+ rpcd silently requires alongside method-level grants. - A trailing ls -l confirms the ACL file actually landed on disk (catches copy-paste failures). - rpcd-mod-file is now correctly labeled Optional with an info-color icon — it's only needed for service restart, ping, automation rules, and /sbin/logread. Faster, clearer "Switch router" on auto-login When auto-login starts hitting the previous router on a different network, the cancel button now appears in 600 ms (was 2 s) and is rendered as a prominent outlined button with a swap icon, labeled "Switch router" in all 10 supported languages — much harder to miss than the old subtle text link. Reliability No more flickering 0 on the dashboard Conntrack count, traffic, and disk no longer flash 0 on transient errors. Fetchers signal "no data" and the dashboard preserves the last good frame. Smarter permission denied caching Previously, a single denied path on file.read would blacklist the whole file.read endpoint until logout — so installing the ACL afterward didn't help unless you logged out and back in. The cache now keys on (method, path), so granting one path no longer requires re-login to clear stale denials. System log on OpenWrt 24.10+ logd's log.read now includes the stream: false, oneshot: true parameters required by 24.10+, with millisecond/second timestamp autodetection. Bug Fixes Fixed an issue where multiple "Permission Denied" dialogs could stack on top of each other when the router rejects requests. Now only one dialog is shown at a time, with a 2-minute cooldown before it can appear again. Improvements The Quick Setup command now includes the ACL file creation step, so you can copy and paste a single command block to complete the entire setup. Updated the ACL configuration description to clarify that the ACL file (openwrt-manager.json) is always required — even if rpcd-mod-file is already installed. You must SSH into your router and create this file for the app to function properly.
