The big 1.3.0 update Hand over a key in person, no internet needed • Show a QR code and read out a six-digit PIN — the chat key lands on the other phone in seconds. • The key inside the code is encrypted with that PIN, so a photo of your screen is useless to anyone else. The code disappears after a minute. • No camera at hand? Import the code from a photo in your gallery. • A key fingerprint next to every chat: the same fingerprint on two phones means the same key, with nothing read aloud. Documents arrive whole • A file that travelled through mail or a messenger now opens: stray characters added in transit are removed automatically. • A document keeps its real name, and a lost extension is recovered from the content — Word, Excel, PDF and more open right away. • An encrypted .darkm file opens straight in the app; with a single chat, decryption starts by itself. • Decrypted documents are saved wherever you choose.
