Three new film stocks: Chrome Vivid 100, Color Warm 125 and Faded Summer 100, each with its own 35mm grain, halation and bloom. A new editor. Its tools rise from the bar beneath the picture, and the picture stays where it is. Color Wheels gain Blending and Balance, and HSL shows how each color moves. Your shots open in the editor just as you took them, with their own crop and look. The editor is open to everyone. Try every tool on your photos; saving, sharing and keeping a look are part of Pro. Grain that follows the film. Each film's grain now follows its own tone and color, the grain in your videos never repeats, and your photos carry the grain you see in the viewfinder. The color panel goes further. Temperature, tint and density reach deeper, and density brings richer color. Widgets and Control Center now carry the FilmTexture mark, and there's a new Home Screen widget. Pick a film at the end of the strip and it moves to the front. The app now opens without a pause. FilmTexture 1.4.2 — every account its own looks, and followers on every profile. • Sign in with Apple. Join the community with your Apple Account, and keep your email address to yourself if you like. • Profiles show posts, followers and following beside the photo. Tap followers or following to see who. Follows are public: anyone can see who a profile follows and who follows it. • Every account keeps its own looks, in the camera, the editor and Your Collection, and the camera comes back to the look each account last used. • A look you keep from someone stays theirs. Use it, change it, save your own version: it is never shared as yours, and a post made with it shares the picture alone. • A profile's Looks now lists the posts that carry their look. Open one to save its look. • The look's name moves to the left end of the top row, in plain white, and the flash to the right. • In the color panel, FT Originals and My Looks share one row. Tap the look's name to jump between them. • Signing in with an emailed code takes the whole code, however long. • Restore Purchases says so when there is nothing to restore, and closing the subscriptions page no longer asks for your Apple Account password. • If your profile can't be reached, signing in offers to try again instead of asking for a new handle. Plans: the LUT Generator, which turns a grade into a .cube LUT, is now part of Studio.

FilmTexture 1.4.1 — grain and halation, rebuilt from how film behaves. • Grain is new from the ground up. It is fullest in the midtones, thins steadily toward white and stays clean in the highlights. It is the same grain in the viewfinder, the clip, the photo and the editor. • Halation is rebuilt the same way: light spreading at the moment of exposure, not a glow laid on afterwards. A photo and a clip of the same scene now agree. • The community opens: share a frame and the look it was made with, and see what others are shooting. New accounts' first posts are reviewed before they appear. • Looks of your own. Save any edit as a look from the editor, give it a name, and shoot with it: the camera draws it live. Looks you keep from the community sit beside yours in My Looks. • Turn the phone and the camera turns with you. A photo keeps the way you held it, a clip keeps the way it began, and the controls turn in place. • Shared clips keep their grain. What you post plays sharper, and the feed loads a short preview until you open it. • Edit inside Photos: FilmTexture's looks are in the Photos editor. Edits save in place, and the original is always kept. • Hold the button beside the shutter and the look falls away — you see the frame the way the sensor gave it. • The preview and the photo you keep now render the same way. Push contrast away from neutral and the file matches the viewfinder exactly — before, the two used different curves and the saved frame could sit visibly darker or lighter than what you framed. • The camera opens without the stutter of its first seconds, lenses hand over with a dissolve, macro switches as quickly in video as in photo, and long 4K takes keep their pace. • Panning no longer ripples the edges of the frame. • Your last film stock is on screen the moment the camera opens, instead of arriving a beat later. • The macro button on the ultra-wide now actually moves the lens. • Deleting from a tethered camera's album really deletes. It used to confirm and keep everything. • The Last Photo and Filter of the Day widgets show your real data. • Your profile grid holds one shape, and every post names the film it was shot on. • The editor's photo picker runs edge to edge, the way Photos does. • Subscribe and your free-use counts are handed back. New: Lifetime. Everything, paid once, nothing renews — for anyone who would rather not subscribe. Plans: saving and sharing looks in the community is part of Pro.
