Kite Calculator tells you which kite or wing size to rig, right now, based on live wind conditions — not a static chart you have to interpret yourself.
REAL-TIME WIND-BASED SIZING
Enter your weight and pick your gear, and get an instant recommendation based on the current or forecast wind. Brand mode uses each manufacturer's official wind range charts, adjusted to your weight; generic mode uses a proven weight/wind formula. Either way, the app applies a gust penalty so a gusty forecast doesn't push you toward a size that's too small, and shows two alternative sizes for stronger or lighter wind — with a visual comfort indicator so you can see at a glance whether you're in the sweet spot, at the low or high end, or out of range.
LIVE WIND FORECAST
High-resolution wind forecasts (AROME HD, down to 1.5 km) for France and neighboring coasts, with worldwide fallback coverage elsewhere. Hourly forecast, gusts, and direction for any spot — not just your current location.
FAVORITE SPOTS
Save your regular spots with live search and an interactive map. Switch between them with one tap, reorder them, and get a forecast for each without needing to be there.
WIND ALERTS
Get notified when the forecast enters your chosen wind window at a favorite spot — set once per spot, with quiet hours so you're not woken up at 3am for a good forecast.
