Get a clearer picture of what's in your pet's bowl.
Kiba helps you understand what's in your dog's or cat's food. Scan a barcode for ingredient explanations and a match based on your pet's profile and the product information available. Explore food options, organize feeding and keep a free Health Journal.
UNDERSTAND THEIR FOOD
Scan a pet-food barcode to look up a product, explore its ingredients and see the findings relevant to your pet. Matches use the product information available and the pet details you provide. Ingredient explanations and scoring references help you understand the result.
When adding a food, use AI-assisted label scanning to read ingredients and nutrition details from a photo, then review the captured information.
ORGANIZE EVERYDAY FEEDING
Keep foods in your pantry, review portions and see how much stock remains. Explore food options for your pet and use Safe Switch to organize a food transition step by step.
KEEP THEIR CARE TOGETHER
Use Pet Hub for profiles, medications, records and appointments. Record check-ins and observations in the Health Journal, and prepare a report to bring to your vet.
STAY INFORMED ABOUT RECALLS
View FDA pet-food recall information and receive recall alerts. Recall information is available without membership.
FREE FEATURES AND MEMBERSHIP
Kiba includes up to 5 free scans and a free Health Journal. Each used scan becomes available again 7 days after use. Optional membership unlocks unlimited scans, search by name, food comparisons and alternatives, daily treat logging, weight-goal portion tuning, vet-report export, and higher pet and appointment limits.
Kiba provides educational information and owner-observation tools. It does not diagnose health conditions or replace veterinary advice.

Ratings & Reviews
Kiba 1.3 adds Kiba Kitchen and makes treat sizes and the app as a whole easier to use.
Kiba Kitchen: homemade recipes for dogs and cats, reviewed by Kiba before they appear.
• Find it on the Community tab. Browse Toppers and Treats, search by recipe or ingredient, or show only quick recipes.
• Pick the pet you're cooking for. Recipes are checked against its allergies, and ones with a match are hidden unless you turn that filter off.
• Make a half or double batch, then use cook mode: one step at a time, with the ingredients for that step, and the screen stays on.
• Save recipes to My Kitchen.
• Share your own recipe with a photo, ingredients, steps and credits. Kiba reviews it before it appears, and you can follow it in My Kitchen.
• Supplements you scan go on a list only you can see. Clear the list any time in My Kitchen.
• Report a recipe with the ⋯ button on its page, or hide a cook's recipes and show them again from My Kitchen.
• The Kitchen is free, and scans you make in it don't count toward your weekly scans.
Easier to use:
• Set a treat's size from pictures: tap Change on its Treat Battery card. You can change it later from the treat in your Pantry.
• The treat size guide now fits the screen and shows each treat size next to a hand, drawn to scale.
• Freeze-dried cat treats now count as smaller pieces when Kiba has no per-treat calories or weight for them.
• In Dark mode, buttons, warning text, badges and text boxes are easier to read.
• With Reduce Transparency on in Dark mode, the tab bar is solid and sheets get a nearly solid backdrop.
• Compare names Severe and Caution ingredients in words, not just colors.
• VoiceOver names more buttons, says which tab is selected, and reads the ingredient ratings on Compare.
• Small controls have larger tap areas.
• A new launch screen.
Also:
• At the largest text sizes, product names on unscored results (supplements, vet diets, recalled products and more) now show in full instead of being cut off.
