Happy Halloween! We have squashed some bugs and frightened some monsters away. - Channel notifications now respect Mentions and Muted. Both settings were ignored on the public channel, so a notification arrived whatever you had chosen. - A muted channel no longer vibrates. It buzzed once for every message before, including the whole backlog when your radio reconnected. - A notification sound you had switched off no longer plays. - Message status now reflects what really happened. A channel message reads as sent only once the radio confirms it left, and it never claims a delivery the mesh has no way to report. - A message that could not be sent now says so plainly instead of showing a tick, and can be sent again with one tap. - Hop counts and message lengths are reported in the units the radio itself uses. A mesh that cannot exceed 63 hops no longer claims 70. - A draft now clears from the compose field once the message is on its way. - The custom variables editor opens on a radio that has none, so the first one can actually be created. - VoiceOver no longer speaks English on the watch. There are some new tricks and treats. - The Radio Terminal: your radio's own command line, now over Bluetooth rather than only over a cable, which brings it to iPhone and iPad for the first time. Settings, Advanced, on firmware 1.18 and later. - An in-app manual that works offline, because a manual that needs a network is unavailable exactly when it is needed. - A sensor dashboard that compares nodes side by side instead of listing them one at a time. - Discovered routes drawn on the mesh map, with each hop coloured by signal quality. - Room servers can post announcements of their own. - One contact list with a type selector rather than fixed sections, and sorting and multi-select are now available in all of them rather than only two. - Support for MeshCore firmware 1.18. - 77 strings that had never reached the translation catalog are now translated, and a pass over the other eleven languages corrected translations that were wrong rather than missing. Long-press on iPhone and iPad, or right-click on a Mac, for the new options. - Quick Reply on a message: answer with hop count, signal, time and a location label you set, each one switchable. - Retry Send on a message that did not get through. - Keep on a contact, to hold it against cleanup, and Find Stale Contacts to track down the ones that have stopped answering. - Paste Contact Link, to add someone from a link on the clipboard. - Send Flood Advert, to announce yourself across the whole mesh rather than to immediate neighbours.

Contact safety • Deleting contacts in bulk is now recoverable. PommeCore saves a backup first, and you can restore it from Settings. If the backup cannot be saved, nothing is deleted. • Contact additions and removals are now checked against the radio and retried if the radio dropped them, instead of being assumed to have worked. Radio profiles • A saved profile can now carry your contact list, so a second radio can be set up for the same mesh. It is opt-in when you export and again when you import. • If the connection drops part-way through applying a profile, PommeCore now tells you which step it stopped at instead of reporting success. Firmware 1.17 • Support for the MCU temperature reading, nodes the radio has not yet identified, the CAD toggle and the boot reason. Fixes • Widgets now appear on iOS 18 and later. They were previously visible only on much newer versions. • Faster contact list on large meshes. • Many corrections across all 12 languages, including troubleshooting instructions that had lost their numbered steps.

• Apple Watch app — read and reply to mesh messages, browse contacts and channels, and check connection status from your wrist, with complications for quick access. • Richer notifications — messages now group into conversation threads, like Messages. • Repeater region management — view and edit region trees and flood limits (MeshCore 1.16). • More languages — improved translations across 12 languages. • Accessibility — improved VoiceOver support throughout the app. • Stability fixes and refinements.

PommeCore is now available in 11 new languages: German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Czech, Polish, Ukrainian, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese. Accessibility improvements: - Full VoiceOver support for message delivery states (Sending, Sent, Retrying, Flooding, Delivered, Not Delivered), quoted messages, and reactions - Dynamic Type support throughout — text and icons scale with your accessibility size - Connection status indicator now uses shape (filled/hollow) in addition to color, making it usable without color vision New in this release: - Radio Stats — live core, radio, and packet statistics in Settings → Device - RF Monitor now has a Packet Log tab showing per-packet SNR and RSSI history - Allowed frequency ranges shown below the frequency field in radio settings Bug fixes: - Several bug fixes including flood scope resetting after apply, widget unread count not updating on read, iCloud sync toggle unresponsive on Mac, and sheets dismissing immediately on first open.
