Fixes TBoard not opening on iPadOS and iOS 27. If TBoard would not open after updating your device, this update fixes it.

New: word prediction Turn on Word prediction in Board settings or Quick Settings. As you type, three likely words appear above the board — tap one to add it. Nothing is added unless you tap. It learns the words and names you use most and keeps them only on this device. It stays off until you turn it on, and never appears in lessons or Practice. Also in this update • Joining a family member's circle is easier: tap "Have an invite code?" on the sign-in screen. • Invite someone straight from Messages. Copying an invite now copies the whole message with its link, and pasting an invite code works however it was copied. • Share TBoard with a friend from Settings. • Reduce Motion is now respected throughout the app. • VoiceOver reads switch states, selected options and more button names. • Sign-in screens and pop-up messages follow your text size, up to twice as large. • Fixed: a brand-new account could see a trial-ended screen at its first sign-in. • Smaller fixes and polish.

Worksheets you photograph are easier to turn into a lesson. Highlighting no longer has to be done in one stroke: lift your finger and carry on, drag an edge to extend or shorten a selection, and tap single words or whole lines. Passages default to lines and questions to words. Two fingers pan and zoom, Fit page resets the view, and a typed correction is kept until you replace it. Scanning a worksheet keeps every page you capture, in order, and a page that fails to read can be retried without photographing it again. Show answer key: a new lesson option, off by default. With it off, the lesson reader no longer offers a tap-to-reveal answer to the student, on daily lessons and on Practice and Graded worksheets alike. Turn it on in Lesson Settings before a lesson, or in the reader's Lesson options. Fixes: tutorials and one-time tips no longer come back after you have been through them; a confirmation no longer closes itself before you can answer it; dialog buttons no longer cut off their own labels; the week's practice chart opens practice stats rather than the gradebook; and signing in restores saved lesson sessions that could previously be skipped.

Turn a photo of a paper letterboard into a board you can use — frame the picture, check the keys it read, and the photo itself becomes the board. Worksheets and graded lessons: multiple choice, true or false, matching, ordering, spelling, written answers and select-all, kept in the order you wrote them. Build one by hand or import it from a photo, a PDF or a file — a sideways page can be turned. A teacher gradebook: one row per attempt, mark written answers with full, half or no credit, add notes, and export a report. Answers and teacher notes now back up to your account. Pricing has changed. TBoard is free to try for 7 days with everything unlocked, then one purchase of $49.99 unlocks it for good. Nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel. Trials already under way keep the 14 days they started with, existing plans continue unchanged, and nothing is ever deleted.

New in this patch: • Lessons and Practice can run on a board you built yourself — every letter and number reachable, on one page or across swap pages. • Printing a board now includes its space, speak and backspace keys, fills the page, and works for the built-in boards too. • Revert really discards a board you just created, and re-cropping a photo key reopens the original picture. • The Stats letter heatmap and lesson previews match the boards and lessons exactly.

New in this patch: • TBoard's full AAC experience now fits iPhone, while partners still get Messaging Lite. • Backup and recovery are much stronger: profiles, lessons, history, phrases, boards, settings, and board photos restore automatically on a new device. • Picture crops now match the cells as drawn and are safer to recrop or revert. • Phone Boards, Stats, tutorials, dialogs, and lesson screens are clearer and easier to use.

Practice now has a first-grade word list. • Starter Words is a new Focus Practice option: a session built from a standard Grade 1 spelling list, spoken aloud one word at a time. Words that sound like other words are read in a short sentence, so "for" and "two" are never a guess. • A second block finishes words from their first sound, like C — AT. • The welcome message in Practice now points to Focus Practice, so it is easier to find Starter Words and your own sets under My Prompts.

This update refreshes the App Store listing. The app itself is unchanged from the previous version.

Build a lesson from a worksheet photo without retaking the same shot. • Photograph a worksheet once and reuse that photo for every section of the lesson. • Question fields now have their own Camera, Photos, File and Paste row, and the picker reads a worksheet one line at a time — so you can pull out a single numbered question instead of the whole block. Better voices from the first launch. • New installs now set up a premium voice quietly in the background and switch to it once it is ready, so the board sounds right from the start instead of staying on the system voice. • Lessons and prompts you write yourself now speak in Ruby by default. Also in this update: • A "Rate TBoard" row in Settings, if you would like to leave a review. • VoiceOver on the completion screen no longer implies open answers are graded — they never are. • Fixed a step in the Stats tour that named a card no longer on that row.

Open questions now acknowledge each answer aloud, and open-answer accuracy no longer raises tap accuracy. Lesson option descriptions now fit without being cut off. The Lesson tutorial is shorter and more reliable: passages finish reading, highlights follow the right controls, and the passage stays highlighted with Next and Skip controls. Exiting returns to the lesson you chose. Answer sounds can now be muted, with more varied feedback and clearer "N out of M correct" wording.

Taps outside the letterboard are no longer held back. Tap Guard and the On-touch/On-lift setting now apply only to the letterboard keys, so the Hub, Quick Settings, Lessons, Settings and the text bar always respond right away. Tap Guard's default wait is now 0.5 seconds, so typing feels quicker on a new install. You can still lengthen it in Settings if taps are landing twice.

Typing with a keyboard: Tap Guard now turns itself off while a physical keyboard is connected, so fast typing isn't dropped. It stays on for touch, and each answer is remembered separately. The first-run board tour can't strand you anymore. Clear and Save behave, keys outside the current step stay quiet, and Skip moves out of the way instead of disappearing. On iPhone, TBoard now says what it is: Messaging Lite, a companion for a speller's circle. A first-launch screen explains the full iPad app, and the link to it opens the App Store properly. Free-access codes now redeem through the App Store itself — open Settings, then “Redeem a code”. (The code box on the sign-up screen is gone.) Accounts with free access no longer see trial countdowns over access they already have.

Comp codes: if someone gave you a free-access code, you can now enter it while creating your account — look for "Have a code?" on the sign-up screen. You can also redeem one later in Settings. Plus small fixes.

Tap guard fixes • On a new install, the tap guard now starts at the recommended 1 second. Previously it opened with no option selected at all. • Choosing a 1.5 or 2 second guard now actually waits that long. These two settings were being silently shortened to 1.2 seconds, which affected exactly the spellers who need the longest guard. Plus behind-the-scenes reliability work.

This update includes bug fixes and improvements, including a fix that let a plain colored key in the board builder be saved.
