Typing with a keyboard: Tap Guard now turns itself off while a physical keyboard is connected, so fast typing isn't dropped. It stays on for touch, and each answer is remembered separately. The first-run board tour can't strand you anymore. Clear and Save behave, keys outside the current step stay quiet, and Skip moves out of the way instead of disappearing. On iPhone, TBoard now says what it is: Messaging Lite, a companion for a speller's circle. A first-launch screen explains the full iPad app, and the link to it opens the App Store properly. Free-access codes now redeem through the App Store itself — open Settings, then “Redeem a code”. (The code box on the sign-up screen is gone.) Accounts with free access no longer see trial countdowns over access they already have.

Comp codes: if someone gave you a free-access code, you can now enter it while creating your account — look for "Have a code?" on the sign-up screen. You can also redeem one later in Settings. Plus small fixes.

Tap guard fixes • On a new install, the tap guard now starts at the recommended 1 second. Previously it opened with no option selected at all. • Choosing a 1.5 or 2 second guard now actually waits that long. These two settings were being silently shortened to 1.2 seconds, which affected exactly the spellers who need the longest guard. Plus behind-the-scenes reliability work.

This update includes bug fixes and improvements, including a fix that let a plain colored key in the board builder be saved.
