GroceryTrack 2.0 is a new app under the hood. We rebuilt GroceryTrack for iPhone from the ground up as a native iOS app. It launches faster, feels lighter, and follows your iPhone's conventions everywhere: the camera, the photo picker, Reminders, Calendar and Face ID are the ones built into iOS. Your receipts, pantry, budget and settings carry over as they are. A scan you queued offline still uploads. What you'll notice • Five tabs: Dashboard, History, Scan, Pantry and Ask. Your profile and settings open from your picture in the corner. • Ask by voice. Tap the mic in the Ask tab and say your question. • Search that knows your stores. Tap the search field in History and your most-visited stores and the items you buy again and again are one tap away. • A consistent look on every screen, in light and dark mode. Sheets, chips, messages and empty states match throughout. • Open a PDF or an image in GroceryTrack straight from Files, Mail or another app. • GroceryTrack now speaks French and Spanish. It follows your iPhone's language, or pick one under Profile › Language. • A new launch animation, with plain fades when Reduce Motion is on. Under the hood • Fewer moving parts: Apple's own frameworks replace the libraries we used before, so the app is smaller and quicker to update. • Receipts you queue while offline are tied to the account that queued them, so a shared iPad can't mix them up. • Exports to CSV are safe to open in a spreadsheet, whatever a store printed. Clearer categories Every number you see by category depends on the category on each line, so we tightened the set. • Pet and Non-Grocery are new. Cat food and gift cards no longer sit in Other. • Four categories have clearer names: Meat & Seafood, Dairy & Eggs, Deli & Prepared, and Household & Personal Care. • Every category has its own icon and a one-line definition, shown when you pick one. • Bag fees, deposits, tips and discounts stay on the receipt so the total adds up. They no longer count in your charts. • Three plain rules settle the close calls. Frozen beats everything. It is how an item is sold that counts, not what it started as. And food you eat from the pack is Snacks, while food you cook with is Pantry. The first time you open this version, one screen shows the new categories and what will move on your own receipts. Tap Update my categories and your history is re-sorted. You need to be online for this step. Categories you changed yourself stay as you set them. Receipts • Receipts show their tax under the total, with each band the receipt printed. A receipt that printed no tax shows no tax row. • Fix the total right after scanning. Tap it on the review screen, or tap Sum line items to add your lines up. • Correct a line item's price and the total follows, unless the receipt's total includes tax or fees. Those we leave alone. • Receipt history tags a receipt that looks like one you already added with Possible duplicate. Tap it to keep both or delete the extra. Also in this version • After your third scan, or about a week in, we ask "How's it going?" One line is plenty, and it comes straight to us. • A screenshot attached to feedback now reaches support. • The duplicate warning inside a receipt is readable in dark mode. The Ask update Ask, a new tab Your receipts already know what you buy, where you shop, and what it costs. Now you can ask. "What do I buy most often?" "When was my last trip to Whole Foods?" "How much did I spend on groceries last month?" Ask answers in plain language, read out of your own receipts. Starter questions are waiting when you open the tab. Receipts don't have to be paper • Choose file on the Scan tab takes a PDF or an image straight from Files. • Share a receipt to GroceryTrack from Mail, Files, Messages, or Safari: a PDF, an image, or a link to an online receipt. It is read the same way a scan is. • Open original in the receipt detail shows the file or page you shared. • Added the same receipt twice? The app says so, and you can keep both or delete the extra. Get your data out • Send a shopping list to Apple Reminders. • Block out your grocery day in Calendar, repeating weekly on the day you actually shop. • Export every receipt as a CSV (Pro). • Connect Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP client to your data from Profile. Also in this version • Pro subscribers can choose the AI model tier that reads receipts and answers Ask, under Profile > AI models. • A gentler first run: a primer before the camera permission, an email-forwarding reminder if you skip the first scan, and a notifications opt-in for the weekly recap and monthly report. • Pantry keeps repurchases apart. The same item bought on two trips shows as two rows, each with its own freshness. • Dark mode fixed across the app, including the cards, banners, and badges that stayed light. The Grocery Year heatmap now shades dim to bright. • Signing up with email asks for your name. • Terms and Privacy are linked from the first sign-in screen. • We no longer record session replays. • The Nutrition tab has been removed. New: see where a trip went, right after you scan it. Scanning used to end at "saved." Now, as soon as a receipt goes in, GroceryTrack shows you what it read — store, date, total, and every line item — so you can catch anything it got wrong while the trip is still fresh. Tap a line to fix the name, price or category. Tap the store name or date if the scan misread them. Then you get that trip broken down by category: what actually went to produce, dairy, meat and the rest. One tap and you're done. Also in this release: • Set your currency and time zone. Your currency helps us read ambiguous receipts — a bare "$" could be four different things. Correct it once on a receipt and we'll remember it for the next scan. • Household forwarding. Add other email addresses in Settings so receipts forwarded by anyone in your household file into your account. • Every receipt now shows how it arrived — scanned, Grocery Snap, or forwarded by email, including who forwarded it. Fixed: editing a receipt on your phone no longer wipes out the record of how it was captured.

This update is all about your pantry. SMARTER FRESHNESS • Shelf-life estimates now know where you keep things — chicken in the freezer lasts months, not days. Move an item to a new spot and its freshness recounts from that day. • Set your own best-by date on any item with quick picks from 1 week to 3 months. Your date always wins over our estimate. TRACK WHAT'S LEFT • Count down multi-packs ("2 of 6 left") or portion-track single items (Full · ½ · ¼). Items running low feed straight into your shopping list. YOUR PANTRY, YOUR WINDOW • New in Profile: choose how far back your pantry looks — 1 week, 4 weeks, 3 months, or forever. • A filter chip on the Pantry screen lets you peek at a different window any time without changing your setting. • Prefer a tidy list? Turn on "Hide marked by default." FASTER FIXES • Correct an item's name or quantity right from the pantry — no digging through receipts. • Jump from any pantry item to its full receipt in one tap. • Older purchases now read "2mo ago" instead of "62d ago." GETTING STARTED • New guided onboarding walks you from your first scan to a working budget in a few minutes. New: Pantry view. See what you've bought in the last 4 weeks, with a freshness countdown on perishables and one-tap "ate" / "spoiled" so the list stays in sync with what's actually in your kitchen. Tap any item on the dashboard's Freshness Countdown to mark it without opening the receipt.

What's New New features - Quick profile access — tap the new avatar in the top-right corner of the Dashboard to jump straight to your Profile. - Smoother UI — added subtle animations when switching tabs and toggling between This Month / Last Month / This Year / Last Year / All Time on the Dashboard. Improvements - The Avg/Trip stat now correctly includes both grocery and dining spending. - Profile header now shows lifetime totals (all-time receipts, items, and spending) instead of period-filtered numbers.
