Autheris 3.0 adds Add to Autheris. • Apps that offer two-factor authentication can now add a button that opens Autheris with your new code. One tap, instead of a QR code you can't scan from the same phone. • As always, Autheris shows you the code first and adds nothing until you tap Import. If App Lock is on, it waits until you unlock. It also brings these security and reliability fixes: • Blur when backgrounded, Hide codes in app switcher and Hide codes while recording or mirroring are on again. They could switch themselves off if you had never changed them, so this update turns them back on once. If you had turned one off on purpose, turn it off again in Settings and it will stay off. • Your codes can no longer be lost when iCloud sync wakes Autheris while your iPhone is locked. • Restoring an encrypted backup now asks first, and codes it replaces go to Recently Deleted. • Scanning a transfer or Google Authenticator export QR code shows what it would add before anything is added. • App Lock can no longer be turned on without a device passcode, which could leave Autheris stuck on the lock screen. • With iCloud sync on, a device that was behind no longer overwrites a newer change. • Two codes with the same name can no longer lose one of them. Setup links that name only the account, and imports from 2FAS, now keep the account. • Adding a code that's already on your device now says so, and encrypted backups no longer freeze the app. • The Transfer QR Code now holds typically 50 to 130 codes instead of 8. Your codes, iCloud sync and other settings are exactly where you left them.

Autheris 2.8 is a security and reliability update. • Links that add codes now always show you what they would add, and nothing is added until you tap Import. A link that arrives while Autheris is locked waits until you unlock it. • With App Lock on, Autheris asks for Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode again before turning App Lock off, opening Backup, transferring codes by QR code, or showing a setup key. • Backups now stay on this device instead of being copied into iCloud and computer backups. Encrypted backups are much harder to crack, and need a password of at least 10 characters. • Restoring a backup picked from Files works reliably, brings back codes you had deleted since, and confirms when it's done. • With iCloud sync on, deleting a code removes it from your other devices too, and changes made during a sync are uploaded straight after. • Imports report how many codes were really added. • On the Mac, Settings is locked while Autheris is, and App Lock re-locks 30 seconds after you switch away. • Thanks to NotAFlightRisk for responsibly reporting the link issue. Autheris 2.7 is a change to the App Store listing rather than to the app. • New screenshots — a fresh set showing Autheris on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch. • Nothing else changed: no new settings, no new permissions, and no new network requests. • Your codes, iCloud sync and settings are exactly where you left them.

Autheris 2.6 can generate counter-based codes as well as the time-based ones. • Counter-based codes — the kind a service hands you instead of one that changes on a timer — now work properly. They do not expire: the card shows which counter it is on, with a Next button that moves to the following one. • Scanning a counter-based QR code used to add it as a time-based one, so its codes were always rejected with nothing on screen to explain why. It now adds the right kind of code. • Counter-based accounts in a Google Authenticator export are no longer skipped, and Aegis and andOTP backups bring their counters across as well. • The Apple Watch shows counter-based codes too, with the counter where the countdown would be. The watch stays read-only, so the counter is advanced on your iPhone. • Settings → Privacy has a new switch, Fetch service logos. It controls the one network request Autheris can make: looking a service's icon up by name at logo.dev. With it off, nothing is looked up, and services fall back to their letter. • Also in this release: Autheris speaks Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Brazilian Portuguese — including the camera and Face ID permission prompts and the Apple Watch app. If your device is set to one of them, it opens in it. • Your codes, iCloud sync and settings are exactly where you left them.

Autheris 2.4 adds an Apple Watch app. • Your codes are on your wrist — one at a time, a swipe or a turn of the Digital Crown apart, each with its own countdown. • The watch app is deliberately read-only: there is no copy, no editing and no settings on the watch. Adding, changing and deleting codes still happens on your iPhone, which sends the list over. Installing the watch app is what turns that on — if you never install it, nothing is sent. • Codes are generated on the watch itself, so they keep counting down with your iPhone out of reach or switched off. A code you add on your iPhone appears on the watch within seconds, and a code you delete disappears just as quickly. • Your codes, iCloud sync and settings are exactly where you left them.

Autheris 2.3 adds a way to rate the app, and gives the Mac app its proper name. • You can now rate Autheris from Settings › Help, and the app will ask by itself once — after you change a setting, never on launch, and at most once per version. • On the Mac, the app is now called Autheris everywhere. It previously installed as Vaultic, so the Dock, the menu bar and your Applications folder called it something else — they now match the name the app already uses in the App Store. • Your codes, iCloud sync and settings are exactly where you left them. • If an older copy named Vaultic is still in your Applications folder, you can move it to the Trash — Autheris is the app from here on.

Autheris 2.2 brings the app to the Mac. • Now on the Mac — a native Mac app with the same codes, sync and settings as your iPhone and iPad. • A proper Mac Settings window, opened with ⌘, and organised into General, Privacy, iCloud, Data and Help. • Scan QR codes with your Mac's camera, and unlock with Touch ID or your login password. • Codes are hidden from screen sharing and recording, and copied codes are marked as concealed so they do not travel to your other devices. • Plus fixes for a set of Mac teething problems: sheets that opened empty or could not be closed, buttons that did not respond, and a crash when starting the scanner.

Autheris 2.1 adds iPad support. • Built for iPad — the same codes, sync, and settings, on the larger screen. • The token list is a grid on iPad — two codes per row, with larger codes and countdowns — instead of one column stretched across the screen. • Tap Edit and drag a card by its grabber handle: the other codes move out of the way as you carry one past them. • Settings opens as a sheet, and the layout follows the window through Split View, Slide Over, and Stage Manager.

Autheris 2.0 is a big update. NEW • Pin and Reorder — Pin the codes you use most to the top, and drag the rest into any order. • Recently Deleted — A deleted code is kept on your device for 7 days, so a wrong tap is recoverable. Restore it, or remove it for good straight away. • Protected While Recording — Codes are now covered if your screen is being recorded or mirrored, alongside the existing app-switcher and background protection. • SHA-256 and SHA-512 — Choose the algorithm when adding or editing a code. Some services need something other than the default. • Account Is Now Optional — Add a code without filling in an account name. IMPROVED • Redesigned home screen, with Add and Edit rebuilt as native forms — the code updates live as you change a setting. • Tokens, settings and pending deletions now live in the Keychain, so they survive reinstalling the app. • A deleted code can no longer reappear after a reinstall. • Fixed a crash a malformed setup link or backup file could trigger. • The app is now named Autheris on your home screen, matching the App Store.

iCloud Sync is here. Turn it on in Settings to keep your tokens in sync across your own devices through your private iCloud database. Secret keys are end-to-end encrypted — never stored in a readable form. Adds, edits, and deletes sync automatically, and Settings shows live sync status. Off by default; you decide when your tokens leave your device.

This update introduces a streamlined secret management experience: • Quick-Reveal Secrets — Long-press any account to instantly view its setup key. Secrets remain masked by default; tap the eye icon to reveal or hide the value. • One-Tap Copy — Copy your setup key to the clipboard with a single tap. No more fumbling through menus. • Protected Editing — Edit your secrets with confidence. All changes require an explicit save action, complete with Base32 validation to ensure your keys stay error-free. • Discard Confirmation — Accidentally started an edit? A prompt now appears when canceling changes, so you never lose your data unintentionally.

Version 1.1 - Transfer with QR: Exporting many accounts to a QR code is more reliable, and if a transfer is too large for one code you’ll see a clear message instead of the screen hanging. - Customize the countdown ring: When you edit a token, you can pick its timer ring color with the system color picker, or restore the default for that service. - Changelog: See what changed in each release from the main menu (⋯ → Changelog). - Settings: Version and build are shown from the app; other polish and fixes.
