v3.6 "観" See your photos large in the gallery, try them in a real picture frame, and filter by camera or lens. Touch and hold to see it large Without leaving the list, you can see a photo large and check how it was shot. Touch and hold a photo to see it on a single large panel, and flip it over for the shooting record: gear and capture data. Keep your finger down and move it, or double-tap, to zoom in close. Swipe left or right to move to the next photo. Frame and Print Sizes Settle the measurements before you order a frame or a print. Pick a photo you haven't finished in Kakou, and from the frame's inner size and the print size, Kakou works out the window, the mats, and the outer size as numbers. The numbers are a guide. Wood and metal frames and dry mounting are covered, and prints go up to 11×14, 14×17 and 18×22. Choose "Show the border" to print on a larger sheet with a 20 mm (1 in) white border and cut the window a little larger, so the edge of the photo shows. Tap "?" for a front view and a cross-section of how the layers overlap. Share the result as text or as an image with the dimensions marked. See it on your wall (Kazari) Both the frames you try in Frame and Print Sizes and your finished photos can be hung on your wall. It works on iPhones with LiDAR: see it in AR, or take a photo of how it looks and save it to your photo library. Taking the photo needs iOS 26 or later. On the wall you can change the frame between wood and metal, its color, and the edge width. On a wall opened from Frame and Print Sizes, you can also switch between the mat overlap and "Show the border". 3:2 and the original ratio Added 3:2, the plain proportion of 135 film. It's landscape by default; flip it for 2:3. Choose Original to keep your photo's own ratio, with the same margin on all four sides. It sits in its own row below the ratio bar. Marks on finished photos You can tell which photos you've already finished from the list. Photos you've finished in Kakou show paper photo corners at their four corners. In Settings, "Hide Kakou works" hides your exports and leaves only the originals. Filter by gear See only the photos shot with one lens, all in one place. In the gallery, "Gear" filters photos by camera or lens. Signature margin (Kazari) Your signature won't be squeezed against the window. When it sits on the white margin of a V-cut mat, only the bottom margin grows wider. It works the same for photos and videos. Choose capture data (Kazari) Choose which capture data the caption plate shows, item by item. Turn focal length, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and date on or off. Kakou remembers your last choice. Washi edges In the gallery list, washi-paper works now have a thin line along the edge so they don't melt into the background. Exported images are unchanged. If you already have Kazari, the features marked (Kazari) are included, with nothing more to buy. And a few small refinements.

Fixed an issue where photos exported on iOS 26.6 could lose their EXIF — camera and date/time details. Saved photos and videos now carry the original photo's file name (for example, IMG_1234_Kakou).

v3.5 "Kiwa" Every aspect ratio is now free. 1:1, 4:5, 16:9 — pick any of them without a purchase. To everyone who already bought Kazari and has carried Kakou this far — thank you. You can sign your work. Register your name in Settings, and the signature appears in the corner, laid over the photo or burned into it. Typeface and size are picked by comparing small samples, side by side. Free as well. The mat V-cut board is rebuilt. The angled cut reads sharper now, and the paper grain comes through as it should. You can also set a white margin between the mat window and the photo, like the border of a darkroom print. (Kazari) The video length cap is gone (Kazari). Where 60 seconds used to be the ceiling, you can now frame the full length as it is. The trim screen is rebuilt: see the whole video at once and set the start and end precisely. While it exports, the frame itself takes shape on screen as the progress display. The free trial goes from one video to three. Fixed an issue where a video longer than 60 seconds could export a shorter range than the one you selected. The bookmark along the right edge no longer hides while a filter is on. Plus small refinements and bug fixes.

v3.4 "Meguri" The photo picker is all new. Photos flow in monthly sections, and you can filter by album, favorites, or videos. Trace the right edge of the screen to glide straight to the month you're after, like following a bookmark. Switch between a woven masonry layout and an even grid. Touch and hold a photo to share, favorite, or delete it on the spot. Favorite photos carry a small folded-corner mark. Fixed an issue where the V-cut border with rounded corners could appear clipped at the four corners. Plus small refinements and bug fixes.

Fixed an issue where the letter spacing of titles and gear info was not applied correctly to photos exported at original resolution. Title letter spacing can now be set wider than before. (Kazari) Minor refinements.

v3.3 "Title" Text placement: Choose where the title and gear info sit. Place them above the photo with Above, split them top and bottom with Split, or give the bottom margin more room with Bottom Wide. Sides: The title runs down the left edge and gear info down the right, rotated sideways. Photo first, text at the edges. (Kazari) Caption: A small plate below the photo carries the title and gear info together, like a museum label. (Kazari) Minor refinements and bug fixes.

v3.2 "Proof" EXIF carry-over: The EXIF data from your original photo — date, time, camera, lens — now carries over into every saved and shared image. The record of how a shot was made stays with the finished frame. Location is off by default; turn it on in Settings. Glass border: A new border style places a thin glass plate in front of your photo. Light bends at the edges and the plate floats above the surface. Adjust its presence with three Clarity levels — Thin, Clear, or Deep. (Kazari) Original resolution: Export now offers a resolution choice in Settings. Choose Original resolution to export at your photo's native pixel count, long edge preserved. (Kazari) Minor refinements.

v3.1 "Texture" Film rebate fade: The outer edge of the film rebate border now shows the frayed fade of a darkroom print. Choose Light or Deep with the Texture control in the Frame panel. (Kazari) V-cut paper grain: The matte surface of V-cut borders now carries a paper-grain texture, added automatically. White mats gain a quiet depth. (Kazari) Presets by thumbnail: Saved presets now appear as thumbnails, so you can see each look before applying it. v3.0 "Frame, in motion." Video framing: Frame videos with the same gestures you use for photos. Up to 60 seconds, with simple trim and mute, exported as a framed MP4.
