BidCheck
AI roster bid optimiser
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Your roster, everywhere: forward your ARMS roster email to up to 5 other apps automatically. Plus a redesigned swaps hub with clearer trip trades.
BidCheck takes the complexity out of PBS roster bidding for airline pilots.
Your ARMS pattern book is already loaded. Just describe what you want in plain English — leave dates, port preferences, days off, layovers — and BidCheck generates a complete, optimised bid sheet ready to submit. Trade trips, swap leave, and stay on top of every A-day contact window from the same app.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Select the current bid period
2. Describe your preferences in plain English (your "bid brief") — typed or spoken
3. BidCheck analyses every eligible pattern and builds an optimised bid sheet
4. Review your bid sheet and submit
BUILT FOR HOW BIDDING ACTUALLY WORKS
• Divisor & MNX window management — BidCheck targets your credit hours and stays within your acceptable range
• Tiered fallback bidding — primary bids at 1000pts, cascading fallbacks at 900, 800, 700... so PBS always has an alternative
• Stacking day-off bids — cascading bids that narrow inward from your requested range, maximising points if PBS can only grant a partial range
• Leave-aware scheduling — leave credit is factored into your divisor maths automatically; day-based blocking (not week-based)
• Credit filler patterns — short domestic returns used to top up credit without burning calendar days
• Considerations — pin birthdays, weddings, exams or any key date and the optimiser bids around them
• Voice bidding — dictate your bid brief on-device, hands free
• Buddy Bidding — link with a flying partner and BidCheck coordinates your bids to maximise overlapping days off and layovers together
TRIP, BASE & LEAVE SWAPS
• Trip Swaps — propose a one-for-one trade with a same-base pilot or buddy. BidCheck pre-checks crewing rules and the 145h minimum guarantee and drafts the ARMS email when both sides agree.
• Swap Board — post "want any Rome" or "want anything 14–21 May off" and see the full cohort of pilots whose trips could match, with privacy-preserving labels until someone taps Interested.
• Base Swaps (Beta) — trade your whole line for a bid period with a pilot at another base. Rotation positions on every card, server-side legality, ARMS hand-off when both sides agree.
• Leave Swaps — trade Annual Leave blocks with other pilots, any length, any future bid period.
ROSTER CALENDAR SYNC
• Forward your ARMS roster email to your unique BidCheck address — your schedule is parsed automatically
• Subscribe via iCal to see your roster in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or Outlook
• Tap any trip in the calendar grid for full pattern details — flights, destinations, report times, credit, and TAFB allowance
• Crewing-modified patterns (X-codes) show the actual assigned times, not the original pattern book data
• Optional "Show full roster" toggle adds X days, leave, and rest events to the iCal feed
STAY AHEAD OF CONTACT WINDOWS
• A-day contact-window reminders for BLH (Blank Line Holders) and PLH (Pattern Line Holders), timed differently for each
• RM54 last-duty-free call-in reminders, suppressed during MBTT
• 15-4 pre-duty call-in window reminders before sign-on
UNDERSTANDS NATURAL LANGUAGE
Your bid brief is plain English. Write it like you'd explain it to a colleague:
"My daughter's birthday is 16 Apr so latest I can depart is the 11th. Max one Paris. Prefer weekends off."
BidCheck interprets your intent — no rigid forms or tick boxes.

• Bug fixes and stability improvements

Pin Specific Trips to Your Bid
Tell BidCheck exactly which pattern you want in a given week and it'll anchor that trip at 1000 points — then build the rest of your bid sheet around it. Perfect when you've already spotted the trip you want and just need everything else to fall into place.
Credit Bias — Land Where You Want in the Window
A new bid brief option lets you nudge the optimiser to target the top or bottom of your MNX window. Aim high to build a credit buffer before leave; aim low to keep as many rest days as possible.
Roster Share for Co-Parents
Generate a signed, tamper-proof PDF of your schedule and send it straight to your co-parent. Choose how much detail to share — from a simple home/away view through to a full day-by-day schedule — and add day-level notes for anything that needs explaining. Revoke access any time.
Bug Fixes & Improvements
A round of stability fixes and polish to keep things running smoothly.

A350-1000 Fleet Support
Qantas now classifies both A330 and A350 crew under the combined A350-1000 (A353) category in ARMS. BidCheck recognises it end-to-end — just pick A350-1000 in your profile and your patterns, divisor and rest rules all flow through correctly.
Message Flightmates on WhatsApp
Spotted a familiar name on your trip? Add your WhatsApp number in Settings and switch on contact, and the crew you're rostered with can message you in a tap straight from the Flightmates list. It's off by default — your number is shared only when you turn it on, and only with pilots actually on your trips.

Flightmates — see who else from BidCheck is on your trip.
Open any flown trip and the new Flightmates section shows the other pilots on the same sectors and sharing your layovers — name, role, fleet and base, with a marker for your buddies. Deadheading crew are matched and labelled too. It's opt-in (on by default), and you can toggle whether you appear from Settings.
Plus a round of stability fixes and polish across the app.

A big update — the headline additions since you last opened the App Store listing:
SIGN IN WITH GOOGLE
Sign in with a Google account alongside Apple. Already have a BidCheck account? Link Google to it from Settings → Linked Accounts so either path works on any device. Handy if you've got a work-and-personal Apple ID split.
SWAP BOARD
Port Requests grew up into a proper marketplace. Post a listing for a destination ("want any Rome"), a date window ("want anything 14–21 May off"), multiple destinations, or any-destination — and see the full cohort of pilots whose trips could match, with privacy-preserving labels until someone taps Interested. Two-sided willing-to-commute opt-in gates cross-base visibility.
LEAVE SWAPS
New tab in Trip Swaps for trading Annual Leave blocks. Post the AL you have, counter-offer with the AL you want — any length, any future bid period. BidCheck drafts the ARMS email when both sides agree. AL only, because crewing won't approve DL/SL/PLP/GL swaps.
BASE SWAPS — NOW ALL FLEETS
Whole-line base trades for one bid period are out of B787-only beta — A380 and A330 pilots can now post and accept under strict seniority matching.
CONSIDERATIONS WITH TYPED LEAVE
Calendar-pinned reminders surface above the bid brief, with title + narrative + spanning bars in your bid period calendar. Leave is now colour-coded by type (AL / DL / SL / PLP / GL) so you can see at a glance what's where.
VOICE BIDDING
Dictate your bid brief on-device with SFSpeechRecognizer, in guided or free-form mode. Nothing leaves the device.
REDESIGNED SIDEBAR
Everything's grouped by what you're doing right now — NOW (Roster, Bid Period), CONNECT (Trip Swaps, Buddies), PLAN (BP Calendar, Patterns & Bidding). Profile lives in the top-right initials chip.
A-DAY & 15-4 REMINDERS
Proactive contact-window reminders for BLH and PLH, RM54 last-duty-free call-in (suppressed during MBTT), and a 15-4 pre-duty call-in window reminder before sign-on.
POLISH & BUG FIXES
Roster pager is smoother with haptics, calendar event bars sit on the right days, swap flows hardened end-to-end, in-app feedback and issue reporter in Settings, and a stack of smaller fixes.
If you're new, welcome. If you've been here a while, thanks for sticking with us.
1.8.0 May 29
Trip Swaps
Propose a one-for-one trip swap with a same-base pilot or a buddy. BidCheck pre-checks crewing rules and the 145h minimum guarantee, then drafts the ARMS email when both sides agree.
Port Requests
Post "want any Rome, offering my RM11" and out-of-base pilots holding a Rome trip come to you. No cold messages across the country — the holder always initiates. Opt out any time in Settings > Privacy.
Base Swaps (Beta)
Post a whole-line base trade for one bid period (e.g. SYD to PER for BP376). Rotation positions on every card, server-side legality checks, and a plain-text ARMS hand-off email when both sides agree. B787 only for the beta.
Bid Around Key Dates
Mark birthdays, weddings, exams, or any date you want to be home for. Tap any date in the Bid Period Calendar and BidCheck factors it into your optimization.
Full Roster in Calendar
New toggle in Settings > Calendar. On adds X days, leave, and rest so your Apple Calendar mirrors the full roster. Your calendar URL stays the same.
Redesigned Sidebar
Everything's grouped by what you're doing now — NOW, CONNECT, PLAN. Roster and Trip Swaps are first-class destinations instead of buried behind a toolbar button.
Founding Member Badge
The first 100 BidCheck signups carry a Founding Member badge — look for the amber star on your profile chip.
1.7.0 May 21
• Port Requests — post that you want a YVR (or any port) trip and list which of your patterns you'll give up; matching holders can propose a swap
• Trip Swaps — direct one-for-one swap proposals to your buddies; server checks legality before you commit
• Base Swaps — list a whole bid period for trade and browse open postings; A380 and A330 now supported alongside 787
• Improved roster parsing and tightened A-day notification timing
1.6.0 May 14
• Next Roster Push — get a notification the moment your next bid period's roster drops, so you can start planning the day it lands.
• Offsettable & Low Line Warnings — pay-impacting flags now surface in the roster header so you can spot an offsettable trip or low-line period at a glance.
• Multi-Roster Calendar Feed — your subscribed Apple Calendar now shows every uploaded bid period, colour-coded with the same duty palette as the in-app view.
• Manual PAX Override — tap any leg to mark it as PAX yourself when ARMS misclassifies a deadhead. Stick hours and credit recalculate instantly.
• Mid-Trip Sickness Cleanup — when you go sick away from base, duplicate ARMS rows are merged so the trip reads correctly end to end.
1.5.3 May 10
Preview Bid Brief — see exactly how the optimizer reads your brief before you spend a credit. Tweak, preview again, commit when it's right.
Recurring Weekly Days Off — tap weekday chips or write "every Tuesday off" and the optimizer will weight bids toward freeing that day each week.
Preferred Departure Days — tell the AI "prefer LAX trips departing Friday" and it'll rank patterns by your favoured day-of-week per port.
Discretionary, Sick & Parental Leave — DL, SL and PLP now feed a credit-budget card showing exactly how leave shifts your divisor target and MNX bounds.
Seniority Rotation at a Glance — every bid period card now shows where your seniority group sits in the 8-period rotation.
Plus assorted fixes: smarter handling of explicit destination ordering in free-text briefs, retry-on-failure for destination weather, and a smoother first-run flow for new pilots.
1.5.2 May 7
Plan smarter, fly informed.
• Previous Bid Period Awareness — A new Previous Bid Period card auto-fills both carry-over (any trip spilling into this period) and your prior 30-day stick hours straight from your roster. The optimiser then respects the rolling 96h/30-day cap (a 2-hour buffer below crewing's 98h cutoff), with days that would push you over flagged right on the bid calendar.
• Destination Weather — Real forecasts for the next 10 days and typical climate beyond, for every port on your trips and bid patterns. Pack for the actual conditions, not just the destination name.
• Flown View — A trip log across every roster you've uploaded, with a map of the ports you've flown to. Tap any port to see its details.
• Past Roster Browser — Switch between bid periods to review historical rosters, not just the current one.
• Haptic Feedback — Subtle taps when you hit key actions like accepting a bid or pulling to refresh.
• WebCIS Quick-Open — Tap the 15-4 pre-duty call-in reminder to jump straight into WebCIS — no fumbling for the bookmark.
Plus a smarter optimiser, full-screen roster on iPad, and faster, more reliable trip weather across the app.
