PetQuakes was born out of love for a dog named Bones.
Bones is a serious epileptic. After years of emergency vet visits, appointments with pet neurologists, and late nights watching him recover from cluster seizures, his owner learned something that every specialist kept coming back to: the seizure log is everything.
Every visit started the same way. How long was each seizure? How many has he had? When was the last one before this cluster started? What medications is he on? What did you give him when each one happened? And every time, in the fog of fear and exhaustion, something got left out. A detail got mixed up. A timeline got fuzzy. The vet techs were writing as fast as they could, but the data was never as clean as it needed to be.
That information isn't just helpful — it's the difference between a vet guessing and a vet knowing. The more consistent and complete the data, the better chance you give your vet or neurologist to provide real, targeted care.
The journey went from scribbled notes, to Apple Notes, to a spreadsheet, and finally to building PetQuakes. With a proper log in hand, Bones went from having seizures every 10 to 14 days to being several months seizure free.
