I will gladly update this review to 5 stars once the bare minimum is met. I was looking forward to this standalone app, but it is impossible to use when simple features like replying directly to a specific message or post does not work reliably. Adding reactions is also buggy and takes significant time for them to appear. It would also be cool to preview content without leaving the app as an alternative to fully tapping on the content and being sent to X. I’m now noticing areas where text and dates wrap on sent posts that include a quote… At this point I wish there was a dedicated bug report portal so that I could help out because these issues can be easily fixed.

We would like to respectfully bring attention to an important issue regarding access for users in Russia.At the moment, many users are experiencing difficulties logging in and using the app consistently. We kindly ask you to consider solutions that would help keep the platform accessible to a wider audience.Current suggestions:1. Add built-in proxy support within the app (similar to features available in some popular messaging platforms). This would allow users to access XChat more reliably without constantly needing a VPN.2. Improve the registration and login process for users in Russia, so that creating an account and signing in can be done without unnecessary barriers.3. Add an automatic message translation feature. For example, if someone writes in English and the user is located in Russia, messages could be automatically translated into Russian. A feature like this, similar to what some messaging apps offer, would be extremely convenient and helpful for international communication. We understand that technical and legal matters may take time, but this issue is truly important for many users.We would greatly appreciate it if the XChat team could review this request and consider possible solutions.Thank you for your time, effort, and attention to your users.🍀👋🏼

It’s even harder to use than chatting on X.1.I don’t know if my friend is online or even if he has read my messages 2.I can’t make voice or video calls (oddly enough, the X app supports this feature）3.The screenshot blocking function in chat often fails.Finally, I hope you can improve these shortcomings as soon as possible to make it more user-friendly.

This app had an amazing add when the whole world have difficulties to be in a free internet. There was a promise to be able to use app without personal data…but i have to link my X account to use it…where is my phone number or email…without it, u cannot login. Also there is missing features like video/voice messages or callsThis app has potential, though now it is not able to be on the same level with Telegram, even not close it is. I do hope Elon is gonna make better and keep all his promises given about ALL PRIVACY … we really need it((((
