mojApteczka
AI Medicine Scanner & Tracker
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
New: scan a prescription. The app reads medicine names on-device and matches them to the register — add them to your box in one tap. The photo never leaves your phone.
mojApteczka is an intelligent home medicine cabinet for the whole family. Powered by artificial intelligence and integrated with Poland's official National Drug Registry (RPL), it turns your phone into a complete home pharmacy management system.
SCAN & IDENTIFY
Point your camera at a medicine package. Our AI instantly recognizes the product and fills in all the details — name, active ingredients, dosage, manufacturer — matching them against over 78,000 products in the RPL database.
No manual typing required.
NEVER LET MEDICINES EXPIRE
Set expiry alerts and get notified before medicines lose their potency. See at a glance which products in your cabinet are approaching their use-by date, and remove expired ones with a single tap.
SHARE WITH FAMILY
Create shared medicine cabinets and invite family members. Everyone sees the same inventory in real time — perfect for household members, parents managing children's medicines, or caregivers of elderly relatives.
CHECK DRUG INTERACTIONS
Before taking multiple medicines at once, let mojApteczka check for potential interactions. The system detects conflicts and sorts them by severity level, using the clinical DDInter 2.0 database.
PHARMACY MAP
Find pharmacies open right now near you — with a map, opening hours and duty pharmacies (night, weekend and holiday shifts). After the first sync the map works offline too.
PEDIATRIC CLASSIFICATION
For every medicine you'll see the official age marking — from what age the product is approved. Clear information for parents and caregivers.
FIND SUBSTITUTES
Search for substitutes with the same active ingredient — directly from the National Drug Registry. Compare options and check availability.
SEARCH YOUR CABINET
Search your cabinet by name, active ingredient, ATC code or the official leaflet indication — quickly find a medicine you already have at home.
MEDICINE REMINDERS
Set personalized reminder schedules with day-of-week and time selection. Confirm a dose with one tap — inventory updates automatically.
CAREGIVER MODE
Manage medicine cabinets for dependents — children, seniors, or anyone in your care. Full control over their medicine inventory from your device.
PDF REPORT FOR YOUR DOCTOR
Generate a professional PDF report of your current cabinet and share it with your doctor during a visit. No more forgetting which medicines you take.
SHOPPING LIST
Check which medicines are running low. Get a ready-made pharmacy shopping list — no guessing what to buy.
Share your list of regularly taken medicines via QR code. A doctor or pharmacist scans it and instantly sees your list — without installing the app or creating an account on their side.
ADDITIONAL FEATURES
- Direct access to official patient leaflets and SmPC documents
- Organize medicines by location, family member, or cabinet
- Add personal notes — dosage instructions, doctor's recommendations
- Search by name, dosage, or barcode
- Full veterinary medicine identification
PRIVACY & SECURITY
Your health data belongs to you. All data is encrypted and securely stored on AWS infrastructure in Frankfurt, EU. We don't sell your medicine list or medical data.

mojApteczka — because every family deserves a smarter medicine cabinet.
more Scan a prescription (New)
• A new "Scan prescription" button on the scan screen — take a photo of a printed or electronic prescription and the app reads the medicine names from it
• The names are matched against the medicines register and shown as a list for you to review
• Add the medicines you choose to your box in one go — with quantity, box and the family member they are for
• Available for the Polish medicines register
Privacy — the prescription stays on your device
• The prescription photo and the text read from it (patient details, identification numbers, prescriber, dosage lines) never leave your phone and are never stored or sent anywhere
• Only the medicine name itself is used for the lookup — exactly like searching by name manually in the app
• All reading of the prescription happens on your device; no image is sent to the cloud
• Prescription scanning does not use up your package-scan limit — scan as many as you like
You decide on every item
• Nothing is added on its own — you confirm each item yourself
• When several variants match (for example different strengths), you pick the right one from the list
• When a medicine is not on the list, you switch to manual search — the app never creates a medicine from scratch
• You can see which box the medicines go to and assign each item to a chosen family member
Expiry date — add it after you buy
• A prescription has no package expiry date, so added medicines are marked "add after purchase"
• Once you buy the medicine, you enter its expiry date (and batch number) on its card
1.13.0 Jul 16
Apple Health sync
• A new toggle in Settings — once on, every dose you take of a recognized vitamin or mineral is written to Apple Health as a dietary nutrient
• Turning it on backfills the last 30 days from your intake history, so your chart does not start from zero
• 25 nutrients supported: vitamins A, C, D, E, K, the full B group (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, biotin, folate) plus calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc, potassium, copper, manganese, selenium, iodine, phosphorus, chromium and molybdenum
• You grant write permission in the system dialog. Switching the toggle off stops future writes — everything already written stays in Apple Health, where you manage it
• Combination products (multivitamins, herbal blends, probiotics) are skipped: Apple Health has no matching data type for them
Privacy and data safety
• Only your own doses are written. A dose dispensed to a ward or another family member never lands in your Apple Health
• Prescription medicines are never written as a nutrient, even when their name contains a mineral-sounding word
• Every dose is written exactly once — no duplicates, even if you turn the toggle off and on again
• Signing out resets the setting, so a new account on the same device starts with sync off
• No data leaves your device beyond the authorized write to Apple Health
Reliability
• If a write fails (for example, the app is closed), the dose is picked up on the next launch
• The section is hidden on iPad, where Apple Health is not available
1.12.0 Jul 13
Read medicine documentation aloud
• New speaker button on the medicine documentation screen - one tap and your phone reads the medicine name and leaflet sections aloud: indications, dosage, contraindications, warnings, interactions, side effects and storage
• Pause and resume with the same button; closing the screen always stops playback
• Expand specific sections to hear only those - with nothing expanded, the whole document is read
• Works fully offline, free of charge
Listen in your language
• The voice reads exactly what you see on screen - the Polish original or the translation
• Once a section is translated (English, Ukrainian, Russian), the voice automatically switches to the translation language
• While paused, music and other audio return to normal volume
Accessibility
• Fully VoiceOver-compatible - playback never talks over the screen reader
• Respects your system speech settings (rate and voice from Accessibility settings)
• Built for seniors, low-vision users and multilingual families
Content safety
• Only the official register and leaflet text is voiced - the app never adds, shortens or advises
1.11.0 Jul 12
Add medicines straight from search
• Find a medicine on the All medicines search screen and add it to your cabinet with a single tap — no need to scan the box.
• The app only offers to add a medicine when it can identify it reliably, so items land in your cabinet correctly.
Medicine search in the UK and Ireland
• UK and Irish medicine catalogs now work offline, directly on your device.
• Search suggests matches as soon as you type part of a name, just like the Polish database.
• Medicines added in these countries are tagged to the correct country, so alternatives, interactions and documents come from the right source.
Reliability
• Fixed a case where the add button appeared for results that could not be saved.
• Minor fixes and improvements to search after choosing a country.
1.10.1 Jul 7
Medicine recall alerts
• The app checks whether any medicine in your cabinet has been recalled by the Polish pharmaceutical regulator (GIF)
• When the medicine's batch number is known the warning is batch-precise; when it is not, you get an honest prompt to check your batch
• The notification links straight to the official GIF decision
• Matching runs on your device — your medicine list never leaves the phone
Batch number from 2D scans
• The scanner now reads DataMatrix codes on prescription packs
• The batch number is saved automatically and shown on the review screen
• This is the foundation for batch-precise recall alerts — no manual entry
Recalls always within reach
• A banner at the top of your cabinet flags active recalls
• A dedicated list shows every recalled medicine — even if you miss the notification
• One tap turns on recall notifications; if you turned them off earlier, you go straight to Settings
• A recall matched while notifications were off is delivered the moment you give consent
Promo codes
• Promo-code redemption has moved to the website
• Your granted plan appears in the app automatically after the subscription refreshes
1.10.0 Jun 23
Medication intake history
• A new History screen shows which doses were taken on past days (calendar / heatmap view)
• Filter by person and by a specific medicine
• Each dose shows the correct person and the real medicine name, even after the reminder is deleted
• Paid plans keep your history across device changes and reinstalls
Export history to PDF
• A clean intake report, ready for a doctor's visit
• Scope by person, medicine and dates
• Share through the system sheet (email, messages, save to Files)
Full offline support
• Adding, editing and deleting medicines now works without internet — changes apply instantly
• Changes survive airplane mode, force-quit and a phone restart
• Everything syncs automatically once you are back online, with a pending-changes counter
Dose actions from a notification
• Tapping a reminder notification opens actions for that exact dose: Taken, Snooze, Skip
• Works offline and after the app has been fully restarted
Family and caregivers
• A ward's and a family member's allergies are available right from their screen, with a count on the card
• Add an allergy by picking a medicine — the warning also fires for other brands with the same active substance
• Smoother caregiver management: assignment to the right ward, an assigned-wards list, and confirmation before removing a role
• A clear message when you reach your plan's ward limit
• Family-list stability fixes
Safety and pharmacies
• Pregnancy and breastfeeding safety chips are now colored by how serious the warning is (red / amber / green), not by data confidence
• Pharmacies open overnight now show the correct hours past midnight and an accurate open-now status
Small improvements
• The app asks for an App Store rating only after a positive moment, never after an error
• Many stability and sync fixes
1.9.0 Jun 20
Allergies for the whole family
• Record allergies separately for yourself and each household member or ward
• A warning appears when scanning, when adding a medicine by hand, on the medicine card, and in the reminders list
• When you dispense a dose, the app asks you to confirm you are aware of that person's allergy
• Allergies are included in the PDF report, grouped per person
• Allergies sync across your devices, including when you delete them
Allergy warning in reminders
• A reminder for a medicine the person is allergic to now leads with a named allergy warning
• The warning stays after you snooze the reminder
• Changing an allergy refreshes the scheduled notifications right away
Pharmacies in Ireland and the United Kingdom
• While travelling, the app detects the country from your location automatically
• Search a pharmacy by name, address, or postcode
• Map pins and one-tap navigation
• Your cabinet and expiry tracking work the same wherever you are
Faster entry from a scan
• After scanning a package, the app pre-fills the quantity and unit for you
• Less typing by hand
Clearer safety information
• The short safety note is visible right away, and you open the sources with one tap
• Pregnancy and breastfeeding safety markers are more compact and readable on the medicine card
Thank you for using mojApteczka!
1.8.9 Jun 6
This update brings minor fixes and under-the-hood stability improvements. Thank you for using mojApteczka!
1.8.8 May 31
Fuller safety-data sources
• When a medicine's pregnancy or breastfeeding safety rating is based on European Medicines Agency (EMA) data, the app now names EMA explicitly as a source.
• The source list on the medicine card, in the documentation sheet, and in the VoiceOver summary now covers four sources: SmPC (URPL), LactMed (NIH), OpenFDA, and EMA.
• This mainly affects centrally authorised EU medicines, where EMA data is what backs the safety marking.
Automatic data refresh
• Medicines stored on your device before this update will receive the correct EMA attribution automatically on the next database sync.
• Nothing to do by hand — the "Refresh now" button in Settings is also available if needed.
A medicine's safety level has not changed — we only added information about where the data comes from. Always consult a doctor or pharmacist before any decision.
1.8.7 May 30
Duty pharmacies in the locator
• Find a pharmacy from the official duty roster - open at night, on Sundays and holidays
• A new "Duty pharmacies" filter shows pharmacies on duty today or within the next 7 days
• An "Upcoming duties" section on each result card shows the date, duty type (night, holiday, 24-hour) and hours
• The "Open today" filter now also surfaces pharmacies that open later on a night duty
• Pharmacies on duty are marked with a purple pin on the map
Wider pharmacy search radius
• We added 50, 75 and 100 km to the radius options
• This makes it easier to find a duty pharmacy in rural areas, where the nearest open one can be far away
Active substance for alternatives
• The active substance (e.g. Paracetamolum) now appears under the medicine name in the alternatives view
• It works both in the medicine database and for alternatives from your own cabinet
• The active substance also shows on medicine cards in the cabinet and in the "Expiring soon" section
Reliability and fixes
• We fixed dose tracking for household members who share the same package - confirming one person's dose no longer affects another person's progress bar
• Pharmacy duty data is now stored correctly and stays visible after restarting the app
1.8.2 May 22
Cabinet dashboards at a glance
• Every cabinet card now shows three tiles: total medications, expiring soon, and low stock.
• The active cabinet is marked with a vertical accent bar and an "Aktywna" pill next to its name.
• An empty cabinet shows a single inline call to action: "Add your first medication".
• The list title carries a household aggregate line: "N cabinets, M medications total".
• Cards read state from the on-device cache so they work fully offline.
Shopping cart you can add to from anywhere
• Add a medication to the cart from the card in My Medicines — the three-dot menu now carries a "Add to cart" entry.
• Add a medication from the Drug Database even if it is not in your cabinet yet. The cart icon shows up in search results.
• Manually added rows persist on the device and survive an app restart.
• Auto rows (expired, low-stock) still refresh from the inventory automatically — nothing to clean up by hand.
Category filters and selective sharing
• Three filter chips above the cart: "Expired", "Low Stock", "Manually Added". Each chip toggles its category on and off with a single tap.
• Every cart row has a checkbox — share only the rows you actually want to send to your household, neighbour, or your own notes.
• "Select all" and the share button operate on the visible rows only — your share message never contains anything you cannot see.
• The cart header updates live and switches to an empty state when filters hide the entire list.
Reliability and polish
• Steadier scheduling of reminder tests on iOS 26 (a fix originally shipped as 1.7.9 to TestFlight).
• Full localisation of the new strings in Polish, English, Ukrainian, and Russian.
• Internal lint and CI clean-up that unblocked the build pipeline.
1.8.0 May 13
New Family screen
• Wards tab — cards with a coloured avatar, today's dose progress bar, and the caregiver lineup.
• Members tab — caregiver cards rolling up the doses across every ward they're responsible for.
• Status pill on each card: All done / Due HH:MM / Next HH:MM / Due now, with a subtle bounce on state change.
• Family cards now show every ward across all your kits, no matter which kit is currently selected.
Daily dose progress on the reminder card
• Every reminder shows "X / Y today" with a horizontal progress bar.
• HH:MM strip below the bar colours each slot by state: taken, pending, late, missed.
• Manual dispenses (without a reminder) count toward the daily total too.
• The pill now distinguishes "Next 21:00" (slot still in the future) from "Due 21:00" (the 60-minute grace window has begun) — same slot, two different user-facing states.
Update banner
• A non-blocking banner appears at the top of the screen on cold launch when a newer version is on the App Store.
• "Update" opens the store page, "Ignore" snoozes the banner for that exact version.
• At most one quiet network check per day. No full-screen modal. No notice when offline.
Reminder reliability
• Fixed a silent loss of pending notifications when the app returned to the foreground — slots scheduled the day before now fire reliably.
• Diff-based reconciliation also protects against dropped reminders during server-side sync.
Bug fixes and small improvements
• Caregiver rows on the ward-edit sheet are tagged "Member of: kit" when the caregiver lives in another linked kit, so you can tell at a glance where they "live".
• Anywhere a member's name was missing, the UI now reads "User" in the current locale instead of a UUID.
• The "Remove ... from the kit?" confirmation in en/uk/ru no longer leaks an untranslated Polish placeholder word — the fallback now follows the interface language.
• Multi-kit accounts now see the correct number of assigned wards on each caregiver card and the full ward list on the Wards tab — previously some accounts saw "No assigned wards" everywhere.
• Caregiver avatars are deterministic: the same person always gets the same colour and initial whether you're looking at the Wards tab or the Members tab.
1.7.8 May 11
New compact expiry view
• A list replaces cards: 7+ medicines fit on screen instead of 4
• A progress bar under each medicine shows how much time remains before expiry
• Colours speak for themselves: red ≤30 days, amber 31–90 days, green >90 days
• Expired medicines move to a separate tab with a red "Expired X days ago" label
• Tap a row to open the full medicine card with edit, alternatives, and packaging photo
• Removed the day filter chips and the monthly chart — colour and bar length say it all
Reminder-tap dispense works reliably online and offline
• Tap "Taken" on a reminder notification and the dose is recorded on-device immediately
• No connection? The dose queues locally and syncs the moment you're back online
• It doesn't matter whether the app is open, in the background, or quit — the dose is never lost
• The Medicines tab updates live, no pull-to-refresh needed
Smart warnings when stock runs low
• Trying to take more than you have? You'll see a warning with the exact available count
• If the medicine is gone, you get a system notification suggesting a refill
• On partial dispense you'll get a notification with the actual amount that was taken
Plural-aware unit labels for Polish, Ukrainian, and Russian
• "1 tabletka", "2 tabletki", "5 tabletek" — the app picks the correct grammatical form
• Works everywhere: low-stock warnings, PDF exports, shared lists
• Previously a single form was used regardless of count; now you always see the right one
Stability and reliability
• Reminders are scheduled immediately on app launch, with no several-second window of risk
• Added detailed diagnostic logging so unusual errors surface quickly
• The promo-code expiry label is now translated in all four locales
1.7.2 May 4
Find a pharmacy open right now
• "Find pharmacy" button on the home screen opens a list and map of pharmacies open at this very moment
• Pick a radius of 2 / 5 / 10 / 25 km — you see only pharmacies within reach
• "24h only" filter surfaces round-the-clock pharmacies
• Orange "Closing in X min" warning for pharmacies that are about to shut
• One tap opens Apple Maps or Google Maps with turn-by-turn navigation
• Polish public holidays are handled correctly (Corpus Christi, 3 May, All Saints…)
• ~12,000-pharmacy database is downloaded once and updated in the background — fast and works offline
Offline medicine dispensing
• Confirm a dose even without internet — e.g. at a patient's home with no signal
• The dose is saved on your device instantly and your inventory shows the right number right away
• Syncs with the server automatically once you're back online
• Works for the "Taken" action on reminder notifications too
Safe on unstable networks
• Closing the app, dying battery, device shutdown — no dose is lost
• Built-in protection against double-decrements when the server reply is delayed
• A strip at the top of the medicine list shows pending doses; a yellow banner surfaces failed ones
Specific error messages
• Hit a Free-plan limit? You now see which limit and how to lift it
• Invited someone already in the household? The message says so directly
• Promo code used or expired? Clear explanation instead of "something went wrong"
• Server errors now surface the actual reason instead of a generic alert
Choose your invitation language
• When you invite someone, pick the e-mail language: Polish, English, Ukrainian, or Russian
• Useful for multilingual families and caregivers who don't share your device language
Small improvements
• Many in-app translations polished across EN / UK / RU
• The "Dispense" sheet closes right after you confirm — no more waiting for the server to reply
• Low-stock alerts now also fire after offline-queued doses sync successfully
• More robust pharmacy data loading after first launch
1.7.0 Apr 30
Alternatives in the Medicine Database
• Open any product from the NFZ database and see alternative medicines sharing the same active substance
• Results grouped into two sections: "Same active substance" (exact ATC code match) and "Same ATC class" (same therapeutic group)
• Works fully offline — powered by the on-device NFZ catalog (over 72,000 products)
• Built for doctors and pharmacists who want a market-wide view without adding the medicine to a box first
Quick access from the search list
• A new arrows icon next to every result opens alternatives in a single tap
• No need to enter the detail sheet just to check substitutes
Full-height detail view
• The medicine sheet used to open at half-screen height and forced a manual drag to read the content
• It now opens full height, with documents, indications, dosage, and contraindications visible immediately
Stability improvements
• Alternatives work correctly in "All Boxes" mode (previously produced a backend error)
• The medicine database reliably re-downloads after app reinstall when local data is cleared
• Concurrent sync triggers now share one download instead of fetching the catalog twice
• Faster typing in the search field — the most recent query always wins
1.6.4 Apr 18
Offline NFZ Medicine Database
• The full NFZ database (~72,000 products) is downloaded once on first launch and available offline
• Typing "apap" in the Medicine database tab now returns every variant — APAP, APAP Forte, APAP C, APAP 325 mg, APAP ból i gorączka C plus, APAP caps, APAP MAX and more (previously only the exact match appeared)
• Partial-word search works too — "forte", "max", and "tabl" all return matching medicines
• Results appear instantly, with no network round-trip
• The database auto-refreshes once a day
Search and interface polish
• The "All medicines" tab has been renamed to "Medicine database" to reflect what it actually searches
• The "Search by indication" button now sits directly below the main search bar — all search options in one place
• Inventory stat cards are now compact horizontal pills (icon + value + label on one line) — more room for the medicine list
• The box name now shares the navigation row with the contextual menu button
• Improved text contrast on stat cards in light mode
Better handling of imported medicines
• Medicines with barcodes outside the Polish registry (e.g. a Czech EAN for Enterosgel) no longer show a red "Error — try again" chip
• A missing NFZ document is now treated as an informational state, not an error
• You get a clear "No documents available" message instead
Speed and reliability
• Substance documentation and the medicine database now sync in parallel — faster first-launch experience
• A safety floor protects your local database from corrupted sync payloads — an incomplete download will never wipe your data
• Fixed a race where typing quickly could briefly roll results back to an older query
• Sync only starts after sign-in completes, preventing wasted attempts at cold launch
1.6.3 Apr 17
Cloud Reminder Sync
• Medicine reminders are now automatically backed up to the cloud
• Reminders are restored automatically after reinstalling the app or switching devices
• Sync runs silently in the background each time you open the app

• 3 free AI scans per month without ads
• Unlimited additional scans — just watch a short ad
• Updated pricing and subscription plan information

• Sections: indications, dosage, contraindications, warnings, and more
• On-device translation to English, Ukrainian, and Russian (iOS 18+)
1.6.0 Apr 15
Medicine Documentation Translation
• Medicine documentation is available in Polish — but now you can translate it to English, Ukrainian, or Russian with a single tap
• Translation happens directly on your phone using Apple Translation — no internet needed, completely free
• A translation banner appears automatically when your device language isn't Polish
• Translate a single section (e.g., just dosage) or all sections at once
• "Show original" button lets you switch back to Polish at any time
Faster, Quieter Sync
• Medicine database checked once every 24 hours instead of every 10 minutes — less battery and data usage
• Only Polish documentation is downloaded — 75% less data to download and store
• Diagnostic messages removed — the app works silently in the background
Reliability
• Graceful degradation: if translation isn't available on your device, the banner and buttons hide automatically
• Stability improvements in the documentation download layer

1.2.0 Apr 1
Scan a prescription (New)
• A new "Scan prescription" button on the scan screen — take a photo of a printed or electronic prescription and the app reads the medicine names from it
• The names are matched against the medicines register and shown as a list for you to review
