Taurus turns the Audio Unit plugins you already own into a pedalboard you can actually play.
Plug your guitar into an audio interface, drop your amp sims, drives, delays and reverbs onto the board, and Taurus wires them into a live signal chain. Every plugin gets a real pedal face: Taurus reads its parameters and lays them out as knobs, faders and switches, so you shape your tone by turning knobs instead of scrolling parameter lists. Prefer the plugin's own look? One toggle swaps the whole board over to the plugins' native editors.
BUILD YOUR RIG • Add any Audio Unit (AUv3) effect or instrument installed on your iPad, plus Apple's built-in Audio Units • Drag pedals freely around the canvas and watch the signal path drawn as cables • Drop a pedal straight onto a cable to place it exactly where you want it in the chain • Split the chain into parallel lanes and merge them back for wet/dry, dual amps or separate paths • Name each pedal, give it a color from a 29-shade palette, and reorder its controls so the ones you use live are up front • Prefer the plugin's own interface? Switch the board to Plugin UI and every editor is hosted right on the canvas, wired into the same chain
PLAY • Live view scales the whole board to fill the screen, with an option to hide everything but the controls • Scenes capture bypass states, gain and each plugin's full state, so you can switch sounds between songs • A chromatic tuner is built into the front of every chain and always ready • Per-pedal input and output trim, master gain, and level meters with peak hold • Background audio keeps your rig running while you check tabs or a backing track
STAY ORGANIZED • Keep as many boards as you like and switch between them; everything saves automatically as you work • Undo and redo any change to the board • Optional iCloud backup keeps your boards on every device signed in to the same Apple Account, including Taurus for Mac
GOOD TO KNOW • Taurus is a host: it plays the plugins you install on your iPad rather than shipping its own amp models. Apple's built-in Audio Units are available on every iPad, so you can start immediately. • An audio interface and wired headphones or monitors are strongly recommended. Bluetooth audio adds too much latency for playing in real time.
