more - On flight day, a new Observed tab gathers everything measured in one place: departure and destination conditions at a glance, what's changed since your briefing, radar and lightning now, METAR/TAF and SIGMETs.
- The route map now shows live radar and satellite imagery along your route, plus an experimental storm-cell overlay showing each cell's trend and 30-minute motion.
- The live changes panel now shows how often a change has recurred today, and lists items that have recently cleared.

- New Current conditions layer on the cross-section: turn it on to see the latest METAR at each airport and the active SIGMET zones along your route, updated live on flight day.
- Flight-day alerts now also flag thunderstorms, significant weather such as heavy snow, and strong wind at your departure, destination and alternates, and mark the matching airport row in Observations.
- If live tracking starts after your briefing was built, the changes panel now reads "Since live tracking began", so it's clear what it compares against.
- A SIGMET that spans several FIRs is now marked new in each one.

- On flight day your briefing keeps itself current. From three hours before departure until an hour after you land, the latest METARs, TAFs and SIGMETs along your route refresh while the briefing is open. An "Observed as of" line shows how fresh they are.
- A new Since this briefing panel on the Advisory tab shows what has changed since the briefing was built: an airport's flight category getting worse or better, or a new SIGMET on your route. Changed rows are marked in the Observations and SIGMET tables, and the latest observations stay available offline.
- New historical map: see METARs, TAFs and model forecasts at any past date and time, to compare what was forecast with what happened.
- The observations now show what each airport's TAF says for the time you'll be there.
- Fixed: airport search could stop working after the app updated its airport database.

- Connect your Autorouter account without leaving the app. If you import a route before linking, a Connect button signs you in and your routes load straight away. A new Services section in Settings lets you connect or disconnect.
- The cross-section route graph now offers all 14 readings the website has. New ones are observed rain rate, lightning rate, CIN, model and sounding ceilings, QNH, and temperature deviation from standard (ISA).
- When two readings are shown, the right-hand one now gets its own zero line and its off-scale and no-coverage markers. A gap in the line now always means no data.
- Pasting a flight plan no longer closes the add-flight form.

- Trips can now be shared. Send someone a trip link and they open the whole chain — every leg, and which one is deciding it — then add those flights to their own list in one tap. A trip opens for someone else only when every one of its legs is shared.
- "Open Trip" added to a flight’s menu, so a leg that belongs to a trip is never a dead end.
- Observed radar now says what it means: "heavy echo, peak 44 dBZ" instead of a bare number, with precipitation rate qualified the same way.
- The cross-section's observed radar strip now uses the same intensity steps as a cockpit weather radar, so red and magenta appear where you'd expect them rather than a notch late.
- You can send feedback about a specific briefing from the pack menu — the report arrives with that flight and briefing attached.
1.9 Sep 23
- Trips: flights you group into a trip on the web now appear together in your flight list, with the trip's remaining legs gathered under it. The trip screen shows which leg is most likely to decide the whole trip (often the return) and refreshes every leg with one tap.
- A new layer bar on the cross-section. Turn layers on and off right on the chart and compare without a sheet getting in the way, with a layout made for iPad and a full-screen view in iPhone landscape. Focus and Emulate presets now work together instead of cancelling each other.
- Observed conditions on the cross-section: satellite-measured cloud tops, and optionally radar echoes and lightning, drawn over the forecast with how old each source is. Refreshing on the day of the flight brings them up to date.
- Scrolling over the cross-section scrolls the page again. Drag sideways or press and hold to scrub along the route.
- Advisory summaries now quote the model reporting the largest affected stretch, and convection that can't be shown to be avoidable no longer leaves VFR feasibility green. Storm cells of unknown height are no longer drawn as full-height towers; estimated tops are shown dashed.
- Fewer spurious severe clear-air turbulence reports near the ground at night, now that the boundary-layer height comes from the model's own diagnosis.
- Model Comparison shows the unit on every row, and the model's own freezing level is now given in feet like every other altitude.

- Sign in with your email address. Ask for a link from the login screen and tap it to get in — no password to remember.
- Route advisories now tell you how much of the route is actually affected, measured as distance flown rather than a count of forecast points, with a minimum floor so a single flagged point can't read as a long stretch.
- Fewer spurious red convective advisories. Several paths that raised a storm warning for miles the model never actually looked at have been closed.
- More accurate clear-air turbulence. Thresholds now scale with the depth of the layer the turbulence sits in, and the boundary layer is anchored to the model's own terrain rather than sea level.
- Special (SPECI) observations are no longer discarded, so airport conditions reflect the latest report rather than only the routine hourly one.
- Editing a flight's date or route now knows what a Move would discard before it asks you to confirm it.
1.7 Sep 11
- Changing a flight's cruise altitude no longer leaves the briefing quietly describing the old one. The Advisory and Discussion tabs now tell you when the weather discussion was written for a different altitude.
- The post-flight debrief now asks about approach conditions on a freshly installed app, rather than only after its first sync.
1.6 Aug 25
- Move or duplicate a flight when the route or date changes — the flight's state and briefing history come with it
- Select several flights at once and delete them in one go
- A new What's New screen in the More menu, so each release explains itself
- The add and edit flight form now covers everything the web version does
- Help and feedback moved into the main menu, and Settings links straight through to your web preferences
- Optionally order upcoming flights soonest-first — Siri reads them back in the same order
- Better-calibrated turbulence advisories: clear-air turbulence now scales with altitude and stops at the top of the mixed layer, so low-level thermal bumps no longer read as CAT
- Sharper icing calls from the model's rain and snow content, and briefings re-run automatically when you change a flight's parameters
1.5 Aug 14
- Route SIGMETs — area hazards along your route now show in the briefing, with tappable detail
- Current Observations — a table of METARs from the nearest airports, capped to the 10 closest on iPhone
- New approach-feasibility advisory — flags when the published approach isn't aligned with the runway the wind favours, and you can now declare your own unpublished cloud-break procedures
- Sharper thunderstorm detection in Europe (ICON-D2 explicit convection) and high-resolution HRRR forecasts on US routes
- Flight list — swipe to delete, a red dot marks briefings you haven't opened, plus sharing polish
- iPad — the forecast map now has a sidebar toggle so it can't strand you
- Cross-section legend redesigned for colour-blind readability; cleaner icing advisories and airport card layout
1.4 Aug 8
- Share a flight: send any flight to another pilot with a link. They can subscribe and follow your briefing read-only.
- European forecast map: a new pan-European overview map with tap-to-open airport cards, plus an airport forecast overlay right on the briefing route map.
- Rate your briefings: thumbs up / thumbs down feedback on the weather digest, and a new post-flight debrief to tell us how the forecast held up.
- Smarter timing: flights now show how much timing flexibility the latest forecast data gives you, and the flight list refreshes automatically when you return to it.
- Clearer advisories: advisories now explain why a region fired, not just how severe it is. Convective grading is sharper, and missing data is flagged distinctly instead of appearing
green.
- iPad polish: native tab bar and smoother scrolling on iPad.
1.3 Jul 18
- Briefing update notifications — Opt in to be notified when a flight's briefing changes, with per-flight control (Default / Always / Mute) and an account setting for how often.
- Siri, Shortcuts & Spotlight — Open a flight's briefing by voice or from search.
- Seamless forecast updates — The flight list and any open briefing quietly sync to the latest forecast on open, on pull-to-refresh, and when you return to the app — with a live "Updating…" indicator.
- Smoother flight creation — Routes typed with airway/SID/Field-15 syntax are interpreted before saving, future flights beyond the forecast horizon open cleanly, and accidental double-submits are prevented.
- Clearer weather display — Wind directions and headings are zero-padded to three digits, plus cloud-layer fixes for more accurate cross-sections.
1.2 Jul 12
- New cross-section & map layers — GRAMET/Windy/ForeFlight presets, DWD & Met Office synoptic front charts, current-conditions overlay.
- tabbed briefing (Advisory/Discussion/Cross-Section/Map), cross-section color themes, offline packs, cache-first cold start
- Weather alternates — regulatory alternate-requirement assessment (FAA + EASA) with weather-based airport suggestions.
- Timing Scenarios — scan adjacent days to find a better-weather departure window.
- Options to improve — actionable advisory mitigations (altitude levers, VFR corridors) that never change the grade.
- Sun & night awareness — sunrise/sunset markers, into-the-sun sectors, night shading.
- Convective insight — model-vs-diagnostic cross-check and VFR-avoidability character.
