PicVaultPro is a private photo vault that encrypts every photo and video on your device, before anything is uploaded. Your password generates the keys. We store your encrypted vault; we never hold the keys to open it. If our servers were ever breached, attackers would get unreadable bytes.

Turn on face grouping only if you want it. AI runs on PicVaultPro's own servers — your photos are never sent to a third-party AI company, never used for advertising, and never used to train AI models. Turn it off any time and your face data is permanently deleted.

We're also upfront about what is and isn't encrypted. Your photos and videos are encrypted with your key. Some metadata (like file names, dates, and photo location) is protected by access controls rather than your key, so our servers can read it. Our FAQ explains exactly what we can and can't see.

What's new in 1.6.2
• Stronger account security: two-factor authentication is now required for every account, and changing your phone number needs a code sent to your current number.
• PicVault links now open right in the app, including shared collections, slideshows and invites.
• Sharing: invite links work after you sign in and unlock, you can leave a shared collection, and the Sharing screen no longer closes by itself.
• More reliable uploads: uploading from inside a vault goes to that vault, and uploads paused by a vault lock resume when you unlock.
• Video playback recovers from expired links instead of failing.
• Face tagging suggestions are clearer and the tagging walk is more reliable.
• AI features are now opt-in, with a clear explanation of how your photos stay private.
• Smaller fixes and clearer messages.
