EGK NukeShield is a fully offline nuclear and radiological decontamination guide built for civilians. Whether you are caught near a nuclear incident, a dirty bomb, or a radiological release, this app walks you through every life-saving step in the correct order — no internet connection required, no backend, no cloud.
The app covers the complete five-phase decontamination protocol used by civil defence and emergency response organisations worldwide.
Phase one covers immediate actions — how to evacuate upwind, identify a safe decontamination zone, and avoid spreading contamination to others.
Phase two covers outer clothing removal — the correct technique for removing and sealing contaminated garments to reduce your radiation dose by up to 80 percent before washing.
Phase three covers the full body wash protocol — how to flush skin and hair correctly, why scrubbing makes contamination worse, and how to decontaminate eyes, ears, and nasal passages safely.
Phase four covers internal contamination — what not to eat or drink, how and when to take Potassium Iodide correctly with weight-based dosing guidance, and how to shelter in place to reduce exposure by up to ten times.
Phase five covers post-decontamination monitoring — how to recognise the early signs of Acute Radiation Syndrome, what information to record for medical personnel, and when and how to seek emergency medical assistance.
