PetCool: Dog & Cat Training
Tricks, games & pet care
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Tricks pay step by step, leaderboards go City, Country and Global, and cats get a daily photo map with a weekly Hunt. Your home sets itself from your first activity.
Your pet doesn't need more time.
They need better time.
PetCool is built around the real relationship: games to play together, experiences to share, and memories worth keeping. Not a database. Not a wiki. A place to actually show up for the animal that already shows up for you.
Play games and activities designed to do with your pet. Not to watch. To do.
BUILD REAL HABITS. Daily challenges that turn "I should do more with my pet" into something you actually follow through on. Small actions. Real bonds.
KEEP THE MEMORIES. Your camera roll is already full. The good moments deserve better than that.
GROW AS AN OWNER. Understand your pet without having to become an expert. Bite-sized, practical. The stuff that actually makes a difference.
Built for dogs, cats, and everything in between. Made for people who just got their first pet and for anyone who wants to love theirs a little better.
Free to start. Upgrade to unlock more and support animal shelters while you're at it.
PetCool Pro and Pet Master are auto-renewable subscriptions.

more Tricks now come as a hand of cards. A long trick is split into steps that each pay coins and XP, post to the feed and rank on their own leaderboard — you get rewarded on the way, not just at the end.
Leaderboards are now City, Country and Global. You compete with the pets around your home first, and your home is set by your first photo, trick or Hunt — nothing to set up.
Cats got a map of their own: post one photo a day of what your cat is up to, see the cats around you and play the weekly Hunt for the top spot.
Also: colour packs for your pet's card, a paw badge for subscribers, confirmed stat gains when the community votes your trick, and a smoother first day in the app.
If PetCool is part of your routine, a rating on the App Store helps more than you'd think.
1.5.3 1d ago
Fixes a crash that kept PetCool from opening after the 1.5.1 update. Sorry about that — everything from 1.5.1 is here and working:
Three plans, redrawn. PetCool Pro covers appointment reminders, the travel wallet, linking your vet, and sharing your pet with a sitter or family — plus half price in the coin store. Pet Master adds your clinic to the care team.
Vets have a dashboard, sharing has roles, the map shows where you stand, and a new icon set replaces the emoji across the app.

1.5.2 Sep 14
Three plans, redrawn — and vets get a real place in the app.
PetCool Pro now covers the things a pet owner actually does: appointment reminders, the travel wallet, linking your vet, and sharing your pet with a sitter or family — plus half price on everything in the coin store and no cards from partners. Pet Master adds the clinic to your care team: call or email your vet in one tap, and let your head vet write and verify records in the chart. Streak milestones now pay coins on every plan.
Vets have a dashboard. Apply with a phone number — we call to confirm it's really you — and once approved, your Practice tab shows your invite code as a QR that opens PetCool straight on the connect screen, your clients with their pets, and a note you can send an owner in one tap. Owners see when a record can only be read, and why.
Sharing has roles. The person you share a pet with is your partner; on Pro you can also add a sitter for a while or family who just want to see how the pet is doing.
The map tells you where you stand: marking a spot opens a sheet with your standing there, and the daily zone boost now counts toward your pet's level. The hardest 24 challenges are part of Pro and Pet Master, and say so before you start.
A new set of icons replaces the emoji across the app, so the nav, feed, coin ledger and menus read the same on every phone.
Also fixed: streaks and daily resets follow your local midnight, comments show the right species badge, notification titles keep their icon, menus on Android keep their Cancel button, and free accounts hold up to five pets — anyone already over that keeps every pet they have.
1.5.1 Sep 13
Challenges, rebuilt.
Every challenge now walks you through it one step at a time instead of dropping a wall of text on you. Adding your proof and seeing your result got the same treatment — less chrome, more of what you came for. The featured card leads with its artwork, and every challenge shows how many people have actually finished it.
Voting is a real contest. A submission arrives as a cover you have to pull back, and the tug-of-war rail decides it — those votes are the leaderboard score now, not a side dish. The challenge sheet has a board tab so you can see where a submission stands.
Your photos survive the trip. What you framed in the viewfinder is what lands in the feed, whether it's a marked spot or a live proof, and every card shows the whole picture instead of cropping into it.
The camera is quicker and stops going black between shots. And the app is about 10 MB lighter.
Also fixed: the menu is reachable again on every post, finishing a challenge posts once instead of twice, and the tour spotlights land on their targets on Android.
1.5.0 Sep 5
Mostly fixes, and a lot of them.
Notifications now go where they say they do. Tap a comment or a like — in the app or from a push — and you land on that post, with the thread already open.
Voting got its rough edges filed off. The slide rail no longer takes the app down with it, a post you already voted on stops re-arming, and both sides can see how a challenge submission is going. Cheering finally has a haptic; it was the only thing in the app that stayed silent.
The feed reads properly now. Every post leads with the person, long names stop crushing the place name, overlays stop vanishing into the photo behind them, and the parts that used to come through half in English and half in database language are just Spanish or English now.
Repost is gone. It never reposted anything.
Also fixed: a failed photo no longer shows a different animal, Block names the person it actually blocks, photo posts get our own menu instead of the system one, and the empty feed's headline is finally readable on the dark background.
On Android, cards stop showing a white square where a shadow belongs.
1.4.9 Sep 1
Now we show you around.
New owners get a proper tour — Home, Map and Profile, one spotlight at a time, ending on a finale card and 5 coins to spend. It remembers per account, so reinstalling doesn't replay it.
Your posts are yours to remove. Delete anything you posted, from the feed or by holding it in your grid. Deleting a challenge post gives back the accomplishment, and deleting a marked spot releases the mark.
The map got serious. Search actually runs now, spots have names instead of blanks, and we pull a 2 km radius so zooming out is worth doing. Forgotten territories surface again, pins stop fusing at low zoom, and the whole thing is quieter to look at.
Challenges share one sheet now, with Challenge and Leaderboard tabs everywhere you open one.
Also: the like heart no longer stays filled when the like didn't land, the comment count moves when you comment, and pets without a photo get a paw instead of a gap.
1.4.8 Aug 28
The feed talks back.
Comments are on. Every challenge, quiz and learn post can be replied to, so finishing something is the start of a conversation instead of the end of one.
And you can vote. Slide to confirm on a submission you like, hold to flag one that doesn't belong. Your pet leads every card now, with a Follow pill right there when you find someone worth keeping up with.
Your profile, your rules. Make it private and people have to ask before they can follow — requests land in their own inbox, and you decide. Visiting someone else's pet looks completely different too: a proper pet-first page with their medal shelf front and centre.
Setting up is friendlier. We ask your name instead of guessing it, ask for your location once instead of twice, and let you crop your pet's photo inside the app instead of fighting the system picker.
Also fixed: switching pets sticks, the keyboard stops covering the field you're typing in, and a comment that fails to send now says so instead of quietly vanishing.
1.4.7 Aug 25
Training got a real upgrade.
Every challenge now walks you through it — the props, the timing, and what
"good" actually looks like. No more guessing what the title meant.
Built around your pet
Tell us what suits them, and challenges adjust to match. Find it under
"What suits [name]" in settings.
Just you two
Some sessions aren't for an audience. Private challenges stay off the feed.
The rewards still land.
Anytime
Not every challenge needs a schedule. Do these whenever the moment shows up.
How PetCool trains
A short read on why the challenges work the way they do. Two minutes well spent.
Medals that keep up
Medals now unlock across everything you do — challenges by category, weekly
competition streaks, spot photos, community votes. If you earned it, it sticks.
Also in this one
• Pinch to zoom on every camera, plus 1x and 2x lenses
• Your mark-your-spot photos open in your profile feed
• The daily quiz and article sit in the feed where they belong
• Your boards: see which leaderboards you're on
• Fixed: the colour unlock no longer celebrates itself after a reinstall
1.4.6 Aug 21
A new way in.
Onboarding is rebuilt from scratch. Tell us what you actually want to do with your pet, add your own photo, and you're in — no carousel to scroll through before anything happens.
Room for the whole crew. The free plan now holds 8 pets instead of 3, and paid plans have no cap at all.
Today's Hunt is back, and cats get their own way in from the zone map. Paywalled challenges stay out of your daily lineup. Cats also get a full Pet Master track — three new challenges built for them.
The feed is one clean timeline now, newest first. Tap the tab again to jump back to the top.
Marking a spot asks for a photo and confirms before it counts, so a stray tap can't cost you a zone. Undo is much harder to miss.
Hablamos español. The whole app — and now the App Store page too.
Also fixed: your profile photo uploads again, a visited pet's photo grid actually fills in, and video proofs show a real frame instead of a black box.
1.4.5 Aug 11
Every challenge now has its own artwork.
All 88 of them, illustrated. Challenge cards on Home lead with
the art instead of hiding it behind an icon, and locked
challenges show you the scene you're working toward.
The app moves like it should now, too. Coins count up when you
earn them. Your XP bar fills instead of just being longer next
time you look. Sheets swipe away instead of making you hunt
for the X.
Marking a spot takes one tap less.
1.4.1 Aug 6
A redesigned Home, one unified map, and a much lighter app.
1.4.0 Aug 4
Challenges got a glow-up!
Every cat challenge now opens with a real scene showing exactly what to do — see the moment, recreate it with your cat, earn the XP.
More in this update:
• Record and share videos up to 2 minutes
• Every pet on the map now wears a ring in its level color — spot the top cats at a glance
• Your mark pin is adjustable, and nearby zones follow you as you move
• Pet profiles now show the whole household, and you can jump into anyone's feed from their posts
• Sharing picks the right format for each platform — and tells you if something goes wrong instead of failing silently
• Smoother pet switching, faster video uploads, and plenty of stability fixes
Dog challenge scenes are on the way, keep those streaks alive!
1.3.3 Jul 29
- Full-screen photos — your posts now fill the feed edge to edge, with a blurred backdrop instead of black bars when they don't.
- Frame it your way — pinch to zoom and choose exactly what shows before you share. What you see is what your feed gets.
- Multi-photo posts — share up to 10 photos in one post and swipe through them right in the feed.
