Know before you go. Stay safe in the water with Mar Floripa.
Mar Floripa is a 100% free community utility designed for residents, surfers, and digital nomads in Florianópolis. We provide clear, real-time water quality data to help you find the safest spots to enjoy the island’s stunning coastline.
Why Mar Floripa?
Ocean conditions change, and transparency matters. Mar Floripa takes the guesswork out of your beach day by surfacing official environmental data in a clean, native iOS interface. No ads, no tracking—just the data you need to stay healthy and safe.
Key Features:
Real-Time Safety Reports: Instantly see which beaches are "Própria" (Safe) or "Imprópria" (Unsafe) for swimming.
Native iOS Experience: Built with SwiftUI for a fast, fluid experience that feels like a part of your iPhone.
Proximity Map: Quickly locate the nearest safe swimming spots based on your current location.
Lightweight & Fast: An efficient app that doesn't bloat your storage or drain your battery.
A Community Project
Mar Floripa was developed natively using agentic coding and Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines to solve a local transparency issue. It is a gift to the island we call home.
