Here's what's new in Reach 1.8.2: Buttons that always respond - On iPhone, buttons could occasionally ignore a tap, including Get Started on the welcome screen. They now behave the same, reliably, everywhere. Quick Entry, rebuilt - Quick Entry is now a full screen with Type, Voice and Scan modes. - Amounts, dates, merchants and repeat words highlight as you type, with a preview card filling in below. - Tap any detected chip to see other options and fix it in one tap. Every chip stays visible, wrapping onto extra lines. - Say "12 coffee this morning" and the mic turns it into a categorized transaction. Phrases like "every month" create a recurring item. - Transfers are one tap away on the type chip: Expense, Income, Transfer. - Keep saving entries back to back and review them all in the batch. Ledger - New Calendar view with daily cash flow, plus a balance ribbon with your lowest point of the month. - A full filter sheet, merchant search, and bulk actions to categorize, move or export many transactions at once. Your tracking journey - A calm counter of the days you showed up. It only goes up. - Twelve growth tiers from Seed to Old Growth, a journey screen with your calendar and badges, and a simple 7-day challenge: any seven days, any order, no expiry. Inbox - Captures, imports and upcoming recurring items now live in one queue, with search, undo, and a guided Settle flow. Plan and Home - The Plan tab opens with a verdict for Budget, Savings, Debt and Forecast, plus new debt payoff and savings insights. - Budget, debt, savings and account setup use a cleaner full-screen flow. - Home has a swipeable insight pager that only shows cards with something to say. - Insights has an archive of past monthly recaps and a report for each category. Savings goals - Your monthly pace now averages calendar months, and adding money never lowers it. - Suggestions follow your deadline: a catch-up amount when you're behind, a finish-early hint when you're on track. Privacy - Analytics never include amounts, balances or budgets. Voice entry now says plainly that Apple's speech service may process your audio. Money you can trust - Recurring items post on the right date and never twice. Imports and inbox commits can't double-post. - Month-end schedules stay month-end. Deleting an account is blocked while it still has transactions. - Restores now wait for pending saves, so what you restored is what stays. Failed restores explain why, and activated budgets and need/want edits come back. - Changing currency updates open screens, and your recap counts money moved into goals. Steadier on iPhone - Fixed freezes that could follow Merge ready or a first visit to the Inbox. - Opening the new-transaction screen from a link no longer shows a blank screen. - Confirm dialogs keep their Cancel button on screen. - Native tab bar, dialogs, pickers and date pickers. Appearance can follow your device again. - The app lock now covers open sheets. Accessibility - A big VoiceOver pass, including category and account pickers: clearer labels, sheets that keep focus, and toasts that stay up long enough to reach Undo. Smaller fixes - Milestone celebrations stay dismissed once you tap Keep going. - Onboarding picks up at your last step if you close the app partway. - New transactions start with your default account selected. Also: CSV import understands more bank formats, notification settings ask for permission properly, and there are no more dead ends when a link goes nowhere.

Here's what's new in Reach 1.7.0: A better amount field - The big amount on the transaction form now edits like real text: tap to place the cursor anywhere, select a range, and use Copy, Cut, Paste, and Select All — all while keeping its clean, split look. - Long amounts scale smoothly to fit instead of clipping, up to 12 digits. - Backspacing over a thousands separator now deletes the digit before it, and the cursor stays where you'd expect when the amount regroups. Recurring transactions - Recurring transactions now carry a merchant, just like one-off entries — it flows through to confirmed occurrences, your cashflow forecast, and backups. - You can now choose how many days ahead the inbox shows upcoming recurring items. - Setting "ends after N times" uses a smoother wheel picker, and the every-two-weeks option is now clearly labeled "Biweekly". Small touches - Your pinned categories now show up first when picking a category. - Larger system text sizes no longer break layouts — big amounts, tab labels, and fixed-height surfaces stay intact at accessibility sizes. Fixes - Fixed an Android issue where black digits could paint over the amount while editing. - Notification taps now land where they should: a bill-due notification opens your recurring list, setup reminders open the exact screen their message names, and the weekly summary opens the weekly report. - Renaming, merging, or deleting a merchant now updates recurring transactions too, so a merged merchant can't quietly come back. - Your Month recaps no longer shift a day early in timezones ahead of UTC, and shared badges no longer hide the personality label. - The month recap shown on the paywall is now strictly accurate: it only covers a finished month, measures budgets against the right window, and no longer shows mismatched numbers. - Cleaned up the recap preview card so it never overlaps its own text, restored one clear path for restoring a cloud backup after a reinstall, and tightened bottom spacing above the Android navigation bar. Here's what's new in Reach 1.5.0: Automatic cloud backup - Reach can now back itself up to your iCloud account, on its own. Turn it on once and it saves after you make changes, with a catch-up backup if it's been more than a day. - Your backup is encrypted on your device before it leaves. The key stays with you, so the file sitting in iCloud is unreadable to anyone else — including us. - Nothing has been taken away: "Create & Share Backup" still works exactly as before if you'd rather keep your own copy. Restore that you can watch and trust - Restoring a backup now shows real progress instead of a frozen screen. A very large restore takes about a second. - A restore is now all-or-nothing. If something goes wrong part-way, your existing entries are left exactly as they were. - Money set aside in savings goals now comes back correctly after a restore, including from older backups. An important data-safety fix - We found and fixed a bug that could silently erase everything. If the database happened to be busy for a moment at launch, Reach could start up empty and then save that empty state over your data — with no error and no way back. Reach now checks that your data loaded properly before it will ever save, retries if the database is briefly locked, and refuses to start rather than risk overwriting you. We also fixed the underlying cause of those lock-ups. Home screen fixes - Recent transactions on the home screen now actually show your newest entries. They were showing your oldest ones. - "Review and categorize" now responds on the first tap on Android. Collapsing a section above it could leave the card's touch target in the wrong place until you left the screen and came back. - Savings goal transaction lists are in the right order too.
