TopoKit is now free to download. Get it before 1 January 2027 and it's yours forever. If you already bought TopoKit, you own this update and every one after it, on every iPhone and Mac signed into your Apple Account. Nothing to buy or restore. BUILD YOUR OWN OFFLINE BASEMAPS Pick an area and TopoKit builds a topo map of it right on your iPhone or Mac, with shaded relief, contours, slope angle, trails, roads, water and place names. Start with the Light or Dark look from the new Basemaps button, or set your own colours. Once it's built, it works with no signal. TAP OR SEARCH THE MAP Tap a trail, a peak or one of your own lines and a card tells you what it is. Save trails and parks from your basemaps into your project. Search finds their names even with no signal. Hold your finger on any spot, or right-click it on a Mac, to see its height, slope, sunrise and sunset. ELEVATION PROFILES FOR EVERY LINE Open the profile from any line's card, including recorded tracks and trails on your basemaps. Select part of the chart to see the climb for that stretch, and it lights up on the map. ADD ROUTE Directions is now Add Route. Add stops by searching or tapping the map, and the roads between them fill in for driving, walking or cycling. Check the elevation profile before you save, then share the route as a file or open it in another maps app. ADD AND REMOVE POINTS While you draw a line or an area, or edit a saved one, drag the small dot between any two points to add a new point there. To remove one, tap it twice and choose Delete, or right-click it on a Mac. NEW PINS, AND WHICH WAY YOU'RE FACING Points have a new pin that looks the same on iPhone and Mac, with its name underneath. Add a point from a peak on your basemap and it keeps the peak's name and height. On iPhone, your location dot is orange now, with a little nose that shows which way you're facing. REBUILT SETTINGS AND SAFER SYNC Settings works like the settings in your other apps, and the Mac has a proper Settings window. Sync merges changes from your other devices instead of overwriting them, and you can restore any backup. You can also copy, paste and duplicate layers and folders, even between projects. FIXES ACROSS THE BOARD Lots of fixes on both iPhone and Mac. Imported maps line up more accurately, imports and exports keep more of your data, and it's much harder to lose your work. And on iPhone, something is hiding at the bottom of Settings. Keep pulling.

TopoKit 1.1 — the biggest update yet. DRAW AND MEASURE, TOGETHER Add Line, Add Polygon, and the new Add Circle tool show live measurements while you draw — distance, area, radius, and more, with tappable unit switching. Just measuring? Read the numbers and close the tool — nothing is saved unless you press Save. MUCH FASTER WITH BIG PROJECTS Importing large files is dramatically faster, the map stays smooth while you pan and zoom, and project files are about half their previous size — so they open quicker and sync less. BETTER IMPORTED MAPS Very large maps keep their full detail without running out of memory, misaligned georeferenced PDFs place correctly, several Canadian coordinate systems are fixed, and PDF maps redraw much faster while zooming and panning. CHOOSE HOW IMPORTED FILES LOOK New Imported Line and Imported Polygon styles in Settings let imports look the way you want — independent from your drawing styles. SMOOTHER STARTUP Your last project starts opening much faster with far less flicker in the first seconds. ALSO FIXED • "Open in TopoKit" from the Files app now imports into your project • Style editors no longer open half-empty on iPhone • Edit panels only save what you actually changed • GPS files with bad values can no longer block a project from saving

What's New • Recorded tracks now keep full GPS detail — elevation, timestamps, and accuracy on every point. • Exports to GPX, KML, GeoJSON, and GeoPackage carry elevation and per-point timestamps through to other mapping apps. • Imports preserve the same data, so round-trips no longer strip information.
