Connect a ProScope or USB microscope to iPad (iPhone not supported) or use built-in camera. Full-feature 14‑day trial; subscribe to keep capture and compare features. ProScope Capture turns your iPad into a capture station for ProScope and other class-compliant USB digital microscopes, and supports built-in cameras on iPhone and iPad. Note: iPhone does not support USB microscopes; on iPhone, ProScope Capture can be used for supporting photos (for example, client head shots for Trichology workflows). Calibration and measurement tools are available on macOS. The interface is optimized for landscape so hardware and controls stay consistent while you work. CAPTURE & SAVE • Select your video source and resolution, then capture stills and record video. • Save to your Photos library and choose an album (or the main library). • Use the Recent strip to open captures quickly during a session. • iPad also supports comparison and import workflows for field or classroom use. MEASURE & DOCUMENT (macOS ONLY) • Calibrate with a known reference at your current magnification. • Draw measurements on still images and export PNG files with overlays. • Add labels and keep layouts clear for study guides and lab notes. COMPARE (iPhone, iPad) • Compare two still images (side by side or stacked) using Photos, the Recent strip, and on iPad, Files, with optional notes where supported. HARDWARE • For USB microscopes, use supported connections for your iPad model. • Most standard UVC-style USB microscope cameras that appear as normal video devices in iPadOS are supported. Performance depends on camera hardware and iOS/iPadOS version. SUBSCRIPTION • New users receive a 14-day full-feature trial. • After the trial, a subscription is required to continue full capture, saving, measurement, and comparison features. • Without a subscription, the app runs in preview-only mode (see in-app messaging for current details).
