Some products use animal-derived ingredients or processing aids that are easy to miss on the label — think dryer sheets, fabric softener, cane sugar, wine, beer, and candles. Instead of a misleading "Vegan" badge, you'll now get a clear heads-up. SEE THE PROOF Results now show what the verdict is based on — a certification, the ingredient list, or the brand's own statement — and how recent that information is. SMARTER INGREDIENT CHECKS • Natural and artificial flavors now get a "May Not Be Vegan" flag, with a plain-English explanation of why • Household products: we now check manufacturer ingredient disclosures where available
